Today between 15.30 and 16.00 I was spectating a game where an italian coach claimed he was lagging a lot (1000ms to 10.000 ms). I am located in italy too and very likely we are hundreds of kilometer distant. The coach tried to restart the game, than reset the router but nothing. His opponent (not based in Italy) had a normal lag (115 ms).

Then i watched my FUMBBL spectator window and I noticed my lag too was very high (1000ms - 5000 ms).
After reset the router the italian coach still had a big lag.

I asked to some other italian coach i know on Fumbbl they told me they have the same problem.

Is not the first time i noticed this phenomena (a "Country specific lag" to FUMBBL server only, in fact if i try to access other italian web site no problem in ping)

I think there is nothing we can do, i think it is something related internet communication between Southern and Norhern Europe where sometime some bottle neck happens somewhere and there is nothing which can be done .

Lukily it happen not so often.

Just wanted to post this in case others experienced this issue and they are becoming crazy try to reset client, PC, router or whatever (which some time does not help)

Edit: One time i workarounded this problem by using my 5G mobile phone which is different operator than my hard wired interned fiber optic house provider. Then I activate the thetering and the ping was much better. Which in any case surprise me because both are italian provider so i don't understand the difference

I guess I was that Italian coach, judging by the spectators' names I saw.
Maybe it looked like griefing, but I swear that I experienced heavy lag with 31,000 ping when 2nd Half was being played.
I left the game once, trying to fix that, but I kept on lagging.
The second time I re-joined the game it was barely playable, with 400 ping.
I played two games today and I experienced this heavy lag only in the second game.
For the moment I will refrain from playing games. I will just watch them until my ping gets normal again.
Anyway, thanks for posting this, so I know it's not just an issue of mine.

Also watching the game is a nightamare in this high lag situation. I lose 50% of the packed in this moment vs www.fumbbl.com.

I got more feedbacks from other italians coach on discord and this seems a generalized issue.

Hopefully would be solved soon.

But yes, better not to activate in this moment.

"Mal comune, mezzo gaudio": when an issue is common, half joy.
Watching a game right now and ping is normal.

My "ping" is often around 350-450. Would that be normal for New Zealand?
