I don't see age as a particularly relevant factor to whether or not sexually suggestive or explicit pictures should be allowed to be used for BB teams or player picks. There are many older people that don't like the use of sexually suggestive pictures and plenty of younger people that like them.
In my opinion culture is more of a factor for acceptance of nudity and sexual promiscuity. In the "Western World" (Generally defined as UK, USA and Australia) there are significant issues and discrepancies in the way men and women are viewed, treated and expected to behave.
This is what feeds the idea of equity (not equality) and flows into positive discrimination such as this sites proactive approach to not allow images of scantily clad or sexualised women.
I am sure that other cultures have their own issues with sexuality, nudity or even the concept of equality and equity.
Separate to this I think the actual approval of pictures submitted for admin approval depends on the admin and how they feel on the day, but that's life. You just have to roll with it. |
If you are going to post in this tread try not to be so sensible. This isn't the place for it. |

The reasonable thing to go on about it is, is to understand that and to move on tho.
It's as I have always said: Don't use pictures of pretty women and you are good to go. |
why a joke? |
Under Taliban it was forbidden to display women who were not fully covered including their face and eyes. Is it imagineable for you that for a liberal citizen, this policy on FUMBBL originates from the same progenitor? |
the admins stopping you using pics of naked women is not the same as being the Taliban, Dom. Please stop taking whatever drugs you are on, ok. Or start taking the one's you are supposed to be on, as you will. |
They weren't naked. What's exactly the difference between banning women in bikini and women completely covered? And more importantly: Do both approaches have the same origin? |
They share the same basic purpose of enforcing a social norm based on the acceptability of nudity and sexuality (particularly of women.
Both bans are also based on the idea that it is wrong to sexualise the female form, however one is much more extreme than the other.
Western culture has a sliding rule of appropriate dress and varying states of undress (i.e. you can wear a bikini at the beach, but not just underwear to the shops). There are a series of social norms that have been adopted about public/private and even location.
The extreme religious approach (both Christian and Muslim) to require full body and hair covering of women is just an ultra conservative extension of the above social norms.
The issue most people have with the extreme restriction is that the restrictions are applied to women "for their own protection" instead of just expecting and teaching men to be better men. |

I can't help it. I have a horrible sensible streak that I can only break away from when playing BB with my Underworld team.
BB is teaching me to be less sensible (TTM for the win.....) |

This is basically why females in Muslim countries have to cover themselves. First reason is to recognize women of their belief (actually, why is this necessary) and secondary it is to prevent sexual abuse (from others than their husbands).
From end of Christianization until 100 years ago women were forbidden to wear trousers without their bike in Europe. |

I think Dom needs to read up on 'muslim countries' before he acts up online. There are plenty of countries, where islam is the dominant belief, but there is a HUGE difference between countries still.
Might wanna go to youtube and see about Reza Islam - he will enlighten your dull little mind... |

If everyone is always thankful with what is given, there would be no progression. |

Dude - my dad is turkish. I think I win this arguement easy;)
Yeah misspelled that one, but you know what I mean still:D
So you deal with islam on daily basis, and you think you are the only one doing that? I know how most polish people regard non-christians, and it is not pretty at all...
You base your view on muslims from your experience with Chechnya? You know they are 1.5 billions worldwide, and you judge a religion on a the actions of a few... Narrowminded:/ |

Like I said, you base YOUR experience with muslims, that granted are negative, and put that on all muslims around the world. You are so narrowminded. I am lost for words.
Look beyond your own to feet and see an amazing world out there, where not all muslims are terrorists, because some are, just like not all priests are paedophilia just because some are... And not all polish people are retarded, just because some are...![Very Happy](./modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

No its not, you want to put negative traits on people because they are muslims... I just used your logic, but you cant see it, when it doesnt target muslims.
You think Muslims all act the same, you do not think there is different culture in different countries - that is so freaking ignorant. You know Indonesia, the country in the world wiht the largest muslim population, have had more female elected politicians than any western country. They have 100% equal rights there.
My dad, and plenty of other muslims are nice persons that just happen to be muslim. Not despite of it or anything else..
You are clearly christian, right? And christians havent done anything bad over the centuries? |
