And to be honest... Since GW said they didn't want to retool the molds for the games, I'll just say "good that they're gone". Because I bought some Epic Armageddon miniatures a few years ago and even then the molds were atrocious... as in "money back" poor. The miniatures were pretty much lumps of metal vaguely shaped as what they were intended to represent.

You can't expect much detail from 15 mm miniatures, but yes they were kinda bad.
Anyway, if we look at the ruleset, Specialist games were probably the best GW games ever made. |

Had it bookmarked, but went ahead and downloaded it pre-emptively. =) |

I can still download it, though it may be because it is cached. Hrrrm, if the rule book is gone off the web that's pretty big! |

Well, seeing as I own the exact same models but from an earlier casting... I know for a fact that you can expect excellent details at 15 mm... also at 6 mm which is the Epic scale
If I wasn't super lazy I'd take pictures to show you guys. The quality of the molds for a lot of the ranges towards the end were throw-in-the-bumpster bad. |

That's really their undoing: they were meant to be the opening act, but they far outshone the headliner. WFB and 40k are about the models and the painting, but the profit-laden company-level "flagship" games weren't nearly as entertaining as their less profitable squad-level "gateway" games, and that's not good for business. |

Do not worry guys. Fantasy Flight Games will eventually get around to buying all the Specialist Game line off of GW.
And they will update them and probally make them better.
I know FFG version of Dungeon Quest is slightly better than the old version. Although it does not have the catacombs upgrade.
FFG Talisman plays so much better than the old version.
Fantasy Flight Games has about 12 of the old 80's and 90's games that GW use to produce. IMO that was the best aspect of GW back in the day...their TT board games Divison. |

It could be good for business if they played it right. All they need to do is every 5 years, re-release the specialist game of their choice, so necromunda one year, bloodbowl the next, man o war the next and so on, as a limited edition box with 2 different teams in, or gangs in etc... and they would make a killing. |

Since GW stopped caring about his kids, can we have the rules linked or directly updated in fumbbl?
Anyway, is there any place to check the rulebook now? |

no we can't link directly to the rule book. It would be a big risk, as it specifically states on their site that you cannot do this.
The rule book comes with the official bloodbowl computer game. Also it can still be found on line at the moment. |

As GW still makes money from the licensing of BB, no, it probably isn't wise to host the rules here. However, you can find them at the NAF website.
I'd also recommend downloading them, rather than just bookmarking them or viewing them online. You never know when they are gonna clamp down again and get them removed. |

Yeah, I'd agree with that, I was editing my post to reflect that as you posted. |

Hmm, I wonder what they want for the TT rights (non-computer)?
Kickstarter anyone? |
