Lustrian Challenge V
Coach Malmir’ Chaos Dwarves Colourful Characters are the Lustrian Challenge 2011 champions! Congratulations!
The Characters defeated coach Dhaktokh’s Amazon team Crossdressers 3-2 in the completely awesome final. Seriously. This was coach Dhaktokh’s first final, but the third final and second win for coach Malmir. Malmir has previously won the GLT V. He claims a spot with the true majors heavyweights: only coaches PeteW, Alibaba and rafadavila can match that record. Respect.
Malmir also made his fifth top-8 appearance, something he shares with coach JockMcRowdy. Dhaktokh made his fourth appearance and coach Nestoroide made his third. Coach Tricktickler made his second appearance and three coaches made their top-8 debut.
Coach Dhaktokh has earned a special mention here, as he is the first coach to make four top-8 appearances with the same team: the legendary Crossdressers. The fact that the Dressers are an Amazon team makes his accomplishment all the more noteworthy, as Amazons isn’t exactly the most competitive roster at majors TV. Respect. As the top-8 team statistics aren’t available in the stats post on the first page of the thread (too much to update each tournament), I thought it might amuse you to see them here now that we have a true leader:
Crossdressers 4
Empire Strikes Back Insanity 3
Extraordinary Brotherhood 3
Fleetfoot's Revenge I 3
Helena High 3
Nandorins 3
ORC International 3
Poems 3
Yellow Fever 3
From this you will note that coach JockMcRowdy’s High Elf team Empire Strikes Back Insanity made their third top-8 appearance in the LC V, also impressive. And on the subject of teams, Competitive Eaters is of course the only team ever to win two majors.
Coach PeteW leads the all-time championship race at five finals and three wins, and also shares the lead in top-8 appearances with coach BooAhl at six.
Races
Chaos Dwarves made their ninth final and took their seventh majors trophy with the LC V. Congratulations CD, that is one impressive win ratio! CD pulled one win ahead of Wood Elves. Amazons made their second final, pulling ahead of the other one hit wonders.
The top-8 featured two Chaos Dwarf, one Amazon, one Orc, one Dark Elf, one High Elf, one Wood Elf and one Underworld team. Coach Nestoroide claimed the first ever top-8 appearance for Underworld with Pink troll goes to ranked. Congratulations Nestoroide and Underworld!
In the all-time race, Chaos Dwarves pulled ahead of Dwarves to 25 top-8 appearances and Wood Elves caught up with Chaos at 34 appearances. Further down the table, Amazons pulled ahead of Khemri to 7 appearances. Coach Dhaktokh and the Crossdressers represent more than half the Amazon tally, so look no further for your Amazon playing guide. Orcs retain their all-time lead at 8 wins, 15 finals and 60 top-8 appearances.
There are three races left with no top-8 appearance: Goblin, Halfling and Pact. Who will be the first to make it to the top-8 with one of them? And two races have yet to make a final, although having plenty of top-8 appearances: Human and Undead. Who will be the first to make it to a final with one of them?
As usual, all the statistics are available in the first post of thread. See you after the FUMBBL Cup! |

Did you also add 1 to the UK for for Malmir's win or do we still need 1 more to pull level with the germans |

Those may match it, but doesn't JackDaniels beat them all with his 2 finals -> 2 wins?
It's still a stunning record though! |

Coaches JackDaniels and Petter both have two finals and two wins. Three finals and two wins is more than two finals and two wins though. ![Wink](./modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

Hehe, by that reasoning all the coaches who have one final and one win are also more efficient. |

News flash: goach gandresch has made a statistics page that tracks data from FUMBBL majors in a different way. Cool stuff.
EDIT: that link doesn't seem to be working all the time.
EDIT 2: gandresch informs me that he has taken steps to make the server run smoothly now, so shouldn't be any problems. |

FUMBBL Cup X
Coach RandomOracle’ Chaos team Chuck Versus Blood Bowl are the FUMBBL Cup 2011 champions! Congratulations!
Chuck defeated coach lepazuri’s Chaos Pact team Niños de Tzeentch 1-0 in the final. This was the first final for both coaches.
RandomOracle made his second top-8 appearance. Four other previous top-8 coaches made another appearance: coach Malmir made his sixth, coach neophyte made his fourth and coaches DukeTyrion and Lewdgrip made their third. Three coaches made their top-8 debut.
Malmir’s sixth top-8 appearance brings him equal with coaches PeteW and BooAhl at the top of the all-time race. PeteW retains the lead in the championship race at five finals and three wins.
Races
Chaos made their eighth final and took their third majors trophy. Congratulations Chaos! Chaos pulled one win ahead of High Elves and one final ahead of Dwarves. Coach lepazuri brought Chaos Pact to their first ever final with Niños de Tzeentch. Congratulations lepazuri and Pact!
Mutations dominated the top-8 with two Chaos, one Chaos Pact, one Chaos Dwarf and one Nurgle team. One Dark Elf, one Wood Elf and one Human team made up the rest. Chaos Pact made their first ever top-8 appearance, congratulations again. Claw-Piling On-Mighty Blow teams took all four semi-final spots. Was this only a fluke or did we witness the ascension of the unholy combo to tournament standard?
In the all-time race, Chaos pulled ahead of Wood Elves to 36 top-8 appearances and Nurgle left the bottom spot with a second appearance. Orcs retain their all-time lead at 8 wins, 15 finals and 60 top-8 appearances.
There are two races left with no top-8 appearance: Goblin and Halfling. Who will be the first to make it to the top-8 with one of them? And two races have yet to make a final although having plenty of top-8 appearances: Human and Undead. Who will be the first to make it to a final with one of them?
As usual, all the statistics are available in the first post of thread. |

** Milford from the shut down Warpstone Open, bored out of his mind sitting in the hotel lobby. ***
Interesting stats I came across when looking at the Box majors.
What da heck is going on in Box majors? All I ever hear about is min/max, CLPOMB and Bash is king.
Then I look at the majors and scratch my head.
Box winners/race
Black Cup: 3 winners... Elf, Wood Elf, Dark Elf
COS: 2 winners: Nurgle, Dwarf
WOC: 2 Winners: CD. Ogre (conveted LRB4)
Runner ups:
Lizard
Necro X2
Khemri
Dark Elf
Wood Elf X2
So my take on this. It looks like the day to day grind of bash in box is just that, a daily grind. Once the Box majors come around the box scheduler cherry pickers roll out the elves and run away with it. Heck the Black Cup needs to be renamed to the Boxing Elf Open or some such. The min/max bash teams got no hope in majors. I will not make a refrences to Chaos's utter futility in Box majors. |

** Milford **
Well it seems that our esteemed Majors record book accountant, MadTias, has gone missing. So I have decided to jump in here and update the "books" to keep them current until the "Mad one's" return. NOTE: I dont have the full records so I have violated the record books and recorded all the stats from the Box and Ranked tournies. Thus with his return he can go through and tiddy things up a bit.
Enjoy.
