Tier 4 - Pact, Khemri, Slann, Vampire
Tier 5 - Stunty

I'd swap Lizardmen and Wood elves around. And put undead up one.

How I see racial tiers in Blackbox (all TVs, all coach skill levels)
1 Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Lizardmen, Necromantic
2 Dwarf, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
3 Chaos, Dark Elf, High Elf, Khemri, Norse, Nurgle, Pro Elf
4 Orc, Pact, Slann
5 Underworld, Vampire
6 Goblin, Halfling, Ogre

Sorry about double post, but just quick comment on Tomays list;

How come Skaven be in 1.5, when is the last time they have won premiership or done well (2nd / 3rd).

High elves / wood elves, tier 2, do they really deserve that high spots?

Norse, tier 3, this is surely a mistake, didnt they win 3 in a row. Does not matter how good the coach is (which I am sure he is), if team is that weak, it wouldnt win that much.

What is surprising to me is that orcs are only tier 3, and I agree with this assessment, but how come they dont do any better?

My list is solely based on racial strength in a long term league like this. Your considerations take into account the coaching abilities of people who have used those races.

Wood elves get ground out too easily. You generally get one shot at a title, then a rebuild. Lizzies are closer to Tier 1. Saurus are ridiculously good in perpetuals. Skinks don't "need" anything.

Yeah you may well be right about woodies. Still disagree about lizards, I've mentioned before I think the commitment of the coaches who use them (especially faulcs) makes them seem better than they are. Imagine if other races like undead, Orc, necro had that sort of a following or commitment. Anyway just my opinion.

7 players with S4+ & GS access on 6 of them. The rest are MA8, and totally replaceable. If you're down you get the one of the best value stars available in Slibili.

Yes it's a commitment to get them skilled, but the team is undeniably strong.

People seem really down on Orcs...

I agree that lizards reflect the coach that plays them, but theyre weaker, especially in the box where they are fragile to claw density.

Orcs suffer because they can now be outbashed by the broken claw teams pretty easily without having the firepower in return, they're still good though.

Chaos Pact are a team I may move up a tier if a coach would dedicate themselves to them, but I think it would still take a bit of luck and a lot of time to make them reasonable.

Woodies are great in CRP. They only really need to keep one good WD alive and the rest doesn't matter.

Undead struggle at high TV, especially without G access on Mummies and the overcosted zombies these days. They just give up too much value and always feel behind the other team.

Anyway it all doesn't matter, coaching ability can overcome the difficulties of most of the races. Only the power of a few races can overcome poor coaching.

I find this concept of the tiers really interesting compared to my exp of Tournament Tiers. With ress systems or first 6 games of progression (like cancon) the tiers look completely different.

1- Dwarf, Wood Elf, Skaven, Undead
2- Orc, Necro, Lizardmen, Dark Elves, Chaos Dwarves, Norse
3- amazon, Human, High Elf, Elf, anyone else I missed
4- Chaos Pact, Chaos, Underworld, Slann, Khemri
5- Stunties, Vampire,

I was talking in terms of SWL. This seems to have gone off track.

It makes sense with Orcs I suppose. Guard heavy bash builds are still good but all it takes is one Clawpomb blitz and things can get shaky. Combine it with some ST4 Claw and things can get really shaky.

But how? And more importantly, who?

If you want to play Claw, Chaos and Nurgz are better, you want to play Guard bash then Dorfs and Orcs are probably better.

It's a tough ask. Although you can manage TV really well.

I'm not talking about them being as good as chaos and nurgle, they clearly aren't. However, their skill suite access allows them to maybe move up a tier. Plus they can be built flexibly. The trouble is that they would be fragile to losing players after working to get them skilled.

I was very close to dedicating myself to Pact instead of Orc, I still think about it sometimes.

To me it really sucks that the big guys, especially the minotaur, doesn't have M access on normal rolls. Claw and especially Tentacles would be niiice!
