Think you missed a B Russo, I know it's tough counting all the way to 4.
Or maybe Tournament of Ultimate Relentless Kicking at End of Year.
From seeing all these enthusiastic acronyms I gather people want an Xmas cup, that's good by me, though we do have a lot of new teams out there.
Maybe we should have a separate cup for newbies and one for oldtimers?
The prize for wining the old timers cup could be to play the winner of the newbies cup. Not sure what''s in it for the new teams though.....
Or go the way of the FA cup and Plate, ie. 1st and 2nd round losers go into a 2nd competition so everyone gets at least 2 games?
We'll also get to use 2 acronyms! \o/ (SANTA being my favourite so far)
I'll have a think.
Also I still haven't heard from some of the old timers, if you could post here or PM me if you are on this list it would help me out muchly. Those i still haven't heard from by Monday will be kicked from the group and won't take part in whatever festive delights we have in store.....

Heya, I was planning to have started by now but my trip to Manchester has lasted longer than I thought (got to have a tooth extracted on Friday). So unfortunately I won't be able to start the league until I get back (the list of returning coaches is on my PC at home). It'll probably be Sunday or maybe Saturday when I can start everything going.
Sorry for the delay, folks, but this was unavoidable.

2 rounds down, and the Gritter is on top... Someone stop him!
No games dropped yet, I think this Swiss format is proving a great success, good work Zomb!
Keep up the good work everyone, WILIEs FTW! \o/ |

Indeed. As shadow said in the stunty rehash thread there are unresolved issues with (s) teams in (L). I'm not sure what all of these are, or how much impact they would have on the league, but I'm not really willing to start up again while changes are being made on a frequent basis.
If you are itching for stunty action though, I suggest everyone gets out there and plays as many games as possible in (s) testing out the changes which have been made.
I've been thinking about this and maybe we could dedicate a day as a WIL stunty day, where everyone can be guaranteed a few games against the friendly fun loving coaches who make up WILIES. What does everyone think about Stunty Sunday? If we can get enough coaches to commit it might be worthwhile publicising it....Just an idea. |
