Big FUMBBL news today, as the FFB client and site has taken a significant step towards full implementation of the BB2016 ruleset.

For details, check out the FFB Client 1.2.7 release notes and FUMBBL news update.

We are currently in our off-season, but watch this space for updates on how this is going to affect the SWL.

Hi.

Question about the new rules that seems to be coming.

Expensive Mistakes: effectively a randomised cap on your treasury, not wise to go above 190k, or even 90k if you have any reason to spend it.

Is the above true? If this is so, is there any possible way at all to build AV7 team that can challenge for premier title? I had game last season I lost 500k worth of players and none of the games played last season gave me profit... Without substantial bank - I would have ended up playing with 6 journeymans or lots of perms, niggles and -AV which would made more enjuries happen.

Bloody ridicilusly stupid - more strength to bash, yet again. Keep the piling on if this is the price.

Pesonally I already always spend my cash almost as soon as I get it with an elf team. I thought it was only bash teams that were able to save up a huge pile of cash? As far as I understand the rule is necessary to prevent bash teams saving up spending a wad of cash on inducements (which no longer count towards TV I've heard?)

Does anyone have a link to the actual text of the actual rule though? Having trouble finding it. <- edit: nevermind the other active forum thread has the info

Dlock, no bank hurts bash too. Remember that you get the privilege of rebuying your entire team under the new rules. I wouldn't get your knickers in a knot just yet. Integrating that will be fairly difficult.

That rebuying rule is a bit open to interpretation as it is per season. How long is a season? 7 games in SWL? Or should it be for the year?

Yep exactly. Another thing to remember is spiralling has been ditched, so it's a lot quicker to regain cash. I definitely see some incentives to having a 16 man roster until the rebuy rule comes into play.

The "Create a Legend" template that is often used for SWL side. I have the old one that doesn't quite line up now the endzones changed a bit.

I know there is a new one floating around, does anyone have it?

Is 'Renegade' different from 'Marauder'/'Pact' in any meaningful way, or just nomenclature?
