I'm enjoying these bad luck posts. Can't say I've ever lost 4 guys in a game before!

note to self: don't play guys who foul 10 times a freaking game

Well my now defunct gobo team, managed to have 1 player eaten by the troll... 1 SIed on a block, another KOed by the troll... and I didnt manage 1 good roll the whole first half.. so I forfieted and killed the team.... it wasnt worth bothering for 66k fans...

Well, dead players are part of the game, i'm averaging one dead per game, that doesnt bother me.

What bothers me is the repeated rolls of 1 with my dark elf team for rolls of 2+. It happens I would say 1 out of 3 rolls, sometimes more. thats wrong. should be 1 out of 6 like a d6.

Its impossible to do simple moves even with 4 rerolls because every simple thing fails and is a turnover.

Doesnt happen to my other teams, only my dark eleves.

It actually makes me angry when playing, maybe I shouldnt play.

Either way I'm convinced that this random number generator is bullshit.

DubDude - go through your last 10 games, count the number of 2+ rolls you've done and let us know how many you failed. If its statistically significant, we can start talking.

Okay, think about this.

You say your Dark Elves are experiencing 1-in-6 events twice as often as they should. But then, you also say your other teams aren't.

How can you therefore conclude that the RNG is 'bullshit'? Is it picking out your Dark Elves for bad luck and not your other teams? How and why would it go about doing that? If you think about it, your interpretation just doesn't add up. This kind of experience sounds more … random … to me than anything else.

The client uses the same kind of random number generation (or as good or better) as every other game out there. (The difference is it shows you the numbers.) If you don't trust it, you should pretty much give up every random-number-based computer game out there.

I know it doesnt add up, i'm playing a game right now dark elf vs dark elf, its the 2+ rolls that always roll 1s, if its a 3+ or 4+ seams normal. just happened in this game quite a few times. Thrower throws pass 3+, rolls a 4, blitzer attempt to catch accurate pass 2+, rolls a 1! ball scatters to lineman (my player) next to him 4+ to catch rolls a 4. Its very frustrating.

its almost like if the roll is a 2+ it will fail, anything else normal luck applies.

I know I sound like a whiney girl but this is absolutely rediculous.

No, you sound like an emo.

But serious, of course the 2+ rolls fail and you're more likely to succeed with the 3+ or 4+ rolls!
You see, that's the way Nuffle works... It's not frustrating to fail a 4+ roll even with a 1, so if you have to roll a 1 every 6 rolls, of course it goes to a 2+ roll... That's what we all experience here.

And wait until you play some Vampires or Necros or something the like. You'll notice that their regeneration rate is nearly 100% for BHs and nearly 0% for all serious (or worse) casualties (adding up to an overall regeneration rate of about 50%, of course).

That my friend is quite an insult.

Razz

I'm just pissed off, thats all. I know its supposed to be a computer generated random number, I understand that the computer is impartial and randomly generates a number without relevance to the consequences.

All I will say is that if I rolled a real life dice in those games it would take me the rest of my life and I would die of old age before the results were as bad as those rolled.

I'm just calling it how I see it.

The game is supposed to be fun, if I'm rolling 1 every time for a 2+ action and causing a turn over every turn on even basic actions how am I supposed to enjoy that?

Now you remind me of my father in law playing poker. The casinos cheat him, the computer cheats him, then we play in his dining room. He does not accuse anyone of cheating him (he knows we would not), but cannot understand why his luck is so bad.

Of course, when he gets a good hand, or luck plays into his favor, that is disregarded.

I have lots of bad luck on fumbbl. I believe it is because I am a poor coach.

You do have one thing right, for sure, though. If you're not having fun, stop playing. Walk away from the game for a while. Maybe a long while. When you can come back and have fun again, fumbbl will be here. It's good that way.
