Coach JackDaniels comes out of his cave to once again join a major. He was sporting a 9 month caveman beard from all his lack of [R] action. BUT he did not disapoint as he took down P4M wiht an underpowered undead team. This is bad because JD has dropped off the cliff in terms of games played and he did not bring the Eaters out to play....yeah I know flat entry...still a weak excuse for not bringing them to the Lustrian. 30+ Cheerleaders would have been a nice draw for the fans.

The Eaters arent hungry for bloodbowl anymore. they even missed the deadline for GLT application. so their coach decided to give them a few more months to enjoy their live to the fullest and put another team on the field this major. after hundred games fighting evil orcs, dealing with clawed chaos, running after sneaky elves, dodging fireballs and still being alive (Patrick had to be ressurrected though), the stars of the eaters know what they achieved. they are having a good time celebrating with their fans and thinking back of the good old days when they were young and dominated the blood bowl world. with all the beer drinking and partying it seems nobody cares about that stupid lizzard anymore. that sissy was only good for taking care of the ball since everyone else prefered to be at the LoS. and he even got injured, he deserved to be caged. there are rumors that the Red Denmark, Patrick, Sonja, Eric and Joey are planning to eat him after their last game.
But the franchise will give them on more chance to play at the Fumbbl Cup together to please the fans, the money to buy fresh players is already set aside though

After blasting apart with the nasty Ancient Pigskins and nailing those tooled up dodgy Dark Joke elves the Booty Pirate girls sail on to the final of the Lustrian Challenge IV Qualifier I with a full strength squad and a few gold coins in the treasure chest!

Coach Calcium is confident that he has his best shot ever of making it out of a Qualifier and joining a major finals for the 1st time.

My thanks go out to KenThis for personally training the Booty girls, JanMattys for providing his italian secret sauce and all the girls nutritional needs and painstate for lending me his big boy cannons from his ship!

** Milford from the Lustrian **

Well Fumbbl fans we just blew through the second weekend of action and we allready have 3 qualifiers finished up! Looks like this week we will be seeing some finals matches and finishing out all the semi final action.

Lets take a look at two of the qualifier finals

ImageFumbbl Cup V
VS
ImagePine Punchers III

Well coach Jackdaniels reminds us that he can play in majors with out the Eaters. The FC crew is looking good! they bring the Count to the match and have a spare 100,000 Gold just hanging out. These undead scum should be able to overpower the Pine Punchers. IF they get the cas counter moving the woodies will be in pine boxes by the end of this one.

The Pine Punchers come into the game with only 11 players, no strip ball dancer to have a shot at the Count and not enough cash. It is looking grim. The game plan is simple...run and score, go banzai mode on defense to get a TO and then hold on for dear life. Any shot? probally not but you never know when playing with woodies.

Fumbbl Cup V wins this one going away in a 3-0 route.

****

ImageLost Hooves
VS
ImagePor Tutatis

The Hooves come into the match in decent shape. They got their two bulls up and running, although one of them is strictly a blitzer, his ball carry days are in the pasture. Their CD core is looking stout. They also have enogh cash for a wizard or a star so that should give them some needed firepower. They will also get a handicap to help them. They do carry some Niggles, so they got to hope they dont lose a man or two.

Por Tutatis is a veteran team on the major scene and are ready to advance. They have a solid BoB core and their blitzers are more than able to carry the day. But they got to be leery of any Wizard lurking in the stands. They also carry some nigglers so that might come into play.

This is a really close match that can go either way.

Going to come down to a wizard fireball and 2-3 key plays that will decide this one.

Going with Tutattis in a nail bitter. They somehow sidestep a fireball at the end and hold on for a 2-1 win

Lets take a look at this interesting Elf ball final match.

ImageComplicated elfs
VS
ImageSamba Style

The complicated elves blow into a final and really complicate their opponeets game plan. These guys are stat upgrade monsters and can really run and gun. If they can get their air attack up and running mixed in with a little bash they will have no problems. The only snag in this plan is Samba can also elf ball with them.

Samba will be getting 2 handicaps to aid them in this one. But containing the Complicated ones will be a uphill climb. They also have no cash to help them and will probally be facing a wizard so they need to be leery of any rogue lightning blots from the stands. They have the players to get the job done, they just need to simplify this thing...play a little elf ball when needed but throw in some bash on the side. Maybe if they are kicking to start the match...line up all 11 on the LOS..just to complicate the elfs game plan a little.

This is a classic Elf ball match. I have no idea which way this one is going to go.

I will go with the Complicated elfs just because they are stat monsters and get an advantage there.

Complicated ones 3-2 in a close fought match...Nerves of Steel actually comes into play on T15 to seal the deal.

PPM update: This guy needs to DIE Yonki This gifted elf is so good he makes everyone look bad. So he must DIE! Jealous? You bet...really rub it in on this guy..Get a nice blitz move Kill with apoth success followed with a DP boot to the head for a follow up KILL in the same turn. Make it hurt.

Breaking news from qualifier #1

Da Uruks and Bill_Vestergaard have been killed in a massive clash at their training HQ

Reports are coming in that last night a massive clash took place and that the Da Uruks and all thier coaching staff were killed in a massive battle.

rumors are flying that their opponeet in the Lustrian, qwuerty, hired a local mercenary band of witch elves to kill coach bill and his team.

or

Was it coach Lizvis upset at his first round ouster from the tourney hire the mercenary band to frame the dark elves for his underhanded ploy.

or

was it a dark past of Coach Bill that came back to haunt him and took its revenge.

Any way you cut it Fumbbl fans this is big news. Death, destruction, dead greenskins, a team training facility on fire and just raw chaos going on.

I will keep you up to date on this shocking development. Iam sure the local authorities will have a statement out shortly. And the Lustrian Challenge admins Iam also sure will look into this event.

So as of right now it looks like qwerty will advance to the finals for the reason of their opponeets are litterally DEAD.

Milford from the burned out Da Urukz training HQ.

Well Fumbbl fans the qualifier finals are getting set up and the action should be brutal, fierce and bloody. A lot of teams are playing for a main draw and that usually brings out the "ugly" in coaches. All the things that the fans of Fumbbl Blood Bowl love to watch.

Lets break down some of these Qualifier finals.

ImageMagerit Revengers
VS
ImageBlightskab PlagueLords

Dark Elf VS Skaven in this match.

The Revengers are rolling after their specatcular win over BYE in the opening round and they have not looked back. They are a really nice DE team and if they stick to the game plan should be able to punch their ticket for the main draw.

The Plaguelords are in a tough spot. They have their gutters but the rest of the team will be hard pressed to stop the Darkies. They will be getting a Handi so they better bring the "pink" gatorade for the match. The rats only have two shots in this one. They need virus bad and they need to get the gutters up and running and somehow manage a defensive stand to get a Turn Over and then stall out the game.

In the end the PlagueLords just have to much stacked up against them.

Revengers 2-1 with the Plaguelords punching in the pyric score late in the game.

*****

ImageCult of Shadows
VS
ImageGreenz United

Chaos VS Orcs in this match.

The Cult enters the match in good shape. They also have cash to spend if needed. They just need to be leery of playing as the heavy favorite in the game and not take the greenskins for granted. They should be able to manage this game and walk into the main draw.

The United side is looking grim. They are going to be really hard pressed. They are getting 3 handicaps for the match and they have some gold for some interesting options. The game plan is simple. Play some seriouos smash mouth orc ball and try to get the CAS counter moving. If that plan of attack fails...well there is allways the FC to look forward to.

Cult of Shadows dominates this match as the greenskins can get no traction and get rolled.

Cult 2-0 over United.

Greenz United just take it to the cult and lay them out on the pitch!!! 5SI and a BH...Ouch...they take the match 2-0

****

ImagePipiolines
VS
ImageBavaria Rules

Woodies VS Chaos in this match.

The Pipiolines are in deep trouble in this match. The Bavarian crew is mean and nasty and they only have 11 players and no cash. They will be getting 2 handicaps so that might help a little. But in the end there is only one plan for them. Run and keep running and hope that Nuffle gives them the "nod" and they somehow manage to dice their way to victory.

The Bavarian Crew is set up nice for their Main draw run. Another juicy elf team stands in their way. Stick to the game plan, work the player number advantage and they will cruise to victory.

Bavarian stacks up the Woodies in ER #8, right next to the crimson moons.

Bavarian 3-1 over Pipiolines .....Also Bavaria stacks up 6 SI or better injuries in this match!!!

***

ImageOrc International
VS
ImageFarelve Farcity

Orc VS Woodies in this match.

The Internationals once again find themselves primed and ready for a main draw. They are really nice greenskin crew and this matchup is right up their alley. They will be facing down a wizard which allways in a concern. But they have the skills neccesary to contain the woodies and start grinding on that weak armor.

The Farcity will be getting 3 handicaps for the match. They are also down their muscle on the LOS as their tree was laid out last game. The farcity crew just needs to hope for some kind dice and get their woody game up and running. Score and keep scoring. And then hang on for dear life.

Well I just dont see the Score and keep scoring tactic working out and the woodies find themselves out manned early in this match.

International over Farcity 2-1...The woodies make it exciting in the closing minutes as they attempt to take it to OT, but fail.

****

ImageUgly Muggmaks
VS
ImageAtei

Nurlges vs Dark Elves in this match.

Well this is a interesting match up..Two 205 TR teams square off in the match. The Darkies come into the match with 10 players and the Nurlges have 12. Both teams are un inspiring on paper and are both lucky to be facing off in the final. It should be an interesting match in that neither team has a huge advantage and it will be all tactical. But in the end the Darkies just have to much skill for the Nurgles....But then again the Nurgles have some firepower to bring the hurt.

Its a classic Bash vs Ball game which should be interesting to watch.

In the end I will go with Atei in a close match that they somehow hang on in the end for the 2-1 win....But will they have a team left to be competitive in the main draw?

*****

ImageEnterpainment United
VS
ImageNo Win No Beer

Orc VS Dwarf in this match.

The United crew knows how to bring the pain and they are well rounded Orc team. They have everything a greenskin teams needs to advance in the main draw. But facing down Dorfs it will be slug fest. So they better bring a mean disposition and some spare knuckledusters. They have a wizard and get a handicap to help them out.

No Win will be facing a wizard but they have some cash of their own to bring a suprise. Maybe a runesmith? This is one mean looking dwarf team on paper and should be able to bash some greenskins. If they control the LOS and get some timely CAS they will be in good shape.

This will be a really fun tactical smash and bash match.

It really is a toss up match comming down to the CAS count and who gets the breaks on two or three plays.

No Win No Beer wins this one in a really close match that comes down to the last play on turn 16...They pull it out 2-1.

*****

Well there you go Fumbbl fans...a lot of Finals matches coming up..Lets have some fun and get in some spec time.

Rata Blanca leaves the Lustrian in a mixture of arrogance and blood, missing their trusted wizard and losing 1:2 in overtime to Gritter´s Hornswogglers. 0:0 after 16 turns as the rats fail a too risky stall and the orcs find the way to the endzone blocked by rat bodies. Rata Blanca scores the first touchdown in overtime, the orcs equalize and a desperate try by the rats for the winning touchdown ends in the intercepting hands of an orc legend.

The White Rat played too much for the show, trying to kill a legendary orc and please the fans, instead of going for the win. Orcs performed well and are the deserved finalist of the qualifier.

** Miflord from the Lustrian **

It was ugly Fumbbl fans!!!

BavariaRules stacks up 8 cas against the pipiolines and eeck out the 3-2 winconsidering the amount of damage the woodies took they hung in there until the end and allmost pulled out the victory. It was a close call for the Bavarians and they eeck by to the main draw.

Coach ekiss was really hot after the match as he was watching the medics carry off his team and wash out all the blood from the dug outs.

"Well you allmost had the chaos scum coach but just could not hold on in the end..what are your thoughts?"

"Well, 9 woodies vs 13 chaos, full of claws, rsc and dps. Their coach didn´t play any good and had to rely on raw luck and fouling (11) to barely win a game 3-2, a game he didn´t deserve to win at any point."

He had some other choice words that I cannot report at this time...lets just say there was heated words and questions of coach Budspencers family heritage.

!!!Disclaimer- extremely long match report!!!

Lustrian Challenge IV Qualifier II FINAL
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3060340
The Swogglers came in to this one as clear underdogs against a full strength dark elf side fielding completely mutant players including two ag6 elves as well as a wiz. With only 1 DP and not enough numbers to keep on fouling things didnt bode well.

The dark elves received and both sides kept it tight and central at the start of the half with the orcs laying down tackleznones before blitzing and fouling to BH one of the guard dark elf linos.
Met with the wall of orcs the darkies decided to push towards the right flank commiting most of their team there.
The Swogglers moved to meet them contesting the flank but holding the centre too fearful to overcommit. Legendary blitzer Pootash then smashed an ag5 leapguarding Elf to the ko box.

T3 the darkies continued down the right flank but didnt make enough ground to get over the gain line. The orcs pushed the play further towards the sideline and after making a gap coach Grit pondered for a while laying down a dice against strip on the carrier. Worried about a fail leaving the side out of position and legend orc surfed he elected to be more defensive though and just put a tz on the carrier- ending the turn with another boot to KO.

With the right flank still open to move through the darkies made ground, making a key pushback on Pootash to leave him needing to roll some dice to hit the carrier. The orcs put pressure on to avoid a stall and Pootash made his run.... only to fail the 4+ dodge needed. The spectators champions fans roared as the darkies than ran in a turn 5 score.

With only 3 turns to reply the slower orcs knew they would have to haul green ass but chose not to field the goblin for a ttm chance.
Recovering the ball from the kickoff the thrower handed off to the safe mits of Pootash and the orcs settled the carrier into a midfield position, with the standfirm orc blitzer the only player to make a deep run.

The dark elf reply saw one of the superstar Black orcs brought to ground. In something of an overcommit half the dark elf team then surrounded the Black orc and stuck the boot in. The Orc was only badly hurt, but the apoth came on to keep him in the fight!
With much of the elf team now on the orcs left flank they made a charge down the right but also placed players to tie up the 'foul cage'

In a bold move which could of won the game the spectators champions wizard sprung into action.... well sprung is a loose definition, he kind of rolled off his chair drunk and let fly a fire... tennis ball?
The resulting heat only singed orc armhair and much knashing of teeth was heard from the fans. Instead of moving in to recover a loose ball the dark elf defence moved to block off the flank under attack and did a pretty good job of it.

Lacking numbers and space the orcs started their turn 7 with quite a few dice rolls including the standfirm blitzer dodging and GFI'n towards the sideline. The orcs then blocked one of the dark elf screen out of the way before pootash blitzed the other clear and got himself into scoring range..... somewhat suicidally though and with some dark elf good blocks the surf was always going to be a possibility........

Some good blocks later, Pootash gritted his teeth and he prepared to meet his fans up close! He was greeted only by hugs and kisses and requests for autographs though and incredibly luckily for coach grit KrockerCroaker caught the boucning ball on a 6!
With a troll tz and another orc chained free of tackleznones to apply an assist KrockerCroaker blitzed his way clear and ran in the score to rapturous boooooo's from the crowd to tie it up 1-1 on the half.

Second half saw the fired up darkies play a blitz, but with the ball too deep to retreive they ran a couple of players through a small gap to put pressure on.
The orc thrower retreived the ball cleanly though, throwing the ball back to a grinning Pootash, still sporting lipstick from the visit to the orc crowd earlier.
Detritus the troll broke his tackler and formed the last corner of a deep cage. The grind was on!

The orcs drove on for the next 3 turns, smiteing elves left and right with fist and boot and generally playing a blinder (ty nuffle) Getting sloppy with the amount of guard around the carrier though the DE found a place to use their str4AG6 mutant along with a leaping guard and..... the agility rolls were made only for the block dice to come up skulls..... oooof.

Pootash was cleared of tacklezones and moved foward into another dodgy looking cage. With a cheeky ag3 dodge first to complete a screen the ag6 mutant was then booted in the face, badly hurt as he was the apoth kept him on the pitch....
The AG6 mutant dusted himself off and attempted a 1 dice block on Pootash, but Poot fended him off successfully.
Despite the lack of elves on the pitch the orcs still found themselves needing to make some ground to run in a score and made forward and parked a tight cage within strolling distance of the line at turn 7 before returning to boot the ag6 mutant and this time seriously injuring him.

The dark elves put a last desperate tacklzone on Poot but a chainpush and a smash later The Legend jogged in for his 48th career touchdown leaving him just 2 short of the orc active scorer record.
Will he break the record or just die in the finals? Its gonna be interesting Cool

gg Propuppet, i had nuffles touch at key occaisions today to be sure and you played a gg. Best of luck next tourny!
