Can Pro (on a 4+) be used instead of a reroll, to use Piling On? |

You can use a team RR to PO, but must use Loner if applicable to do so. So no to Pro, according to that.
(See errata on BB site) |

Because it lacks ultimate synergy with PO doesnt make it wasted, that is laughably binary. JU is good in its own right, maybe on your second doubles youll take diving tackle. |

It does apparently have other uses. So I'm told. |

Us old timers who played LRB4 on FUMBBL remember the days of no CMBPO. T/MB was the killer stack. So, we will just have to revert our thinking back to those days. Sadly they decided not to address fouling.

I thought in LRB4 the main killers were Claw/Razor Sharp Claw and the +2 Dirty Player? This new ruleset doesn't contain anything nearly as damaging as those or CRP CPOMB. |

Agreed, make fouling dangerous again. |

It's taking a sledgehammer to a problem that I'm still not convinced could be solved by changing skills instead of skill access. |

Well, I'm unconvinced by PG's cool attitude to further new skills and changes. Firstly as that seems to be down to the modelling, and secondly because GW know tweaks and new stuff shifts supplements, and they usually miss no trick in getting paying customers hooked on the teat.
And personally I'd have made PO Big Guy only. Solves it and gives BG's a slightly needed boost.
But we don't get to choose. the rules belong not to NAF, FUMBBL or you/I but to GW, they get to decide.
Exciting times though, and finally a glimpse of distant light in the dark dark tunnel of CRP. While this rule-set has a lot of awesomeness and some great balance, it has it's weaknesses too.
The only real question is Can/Will Fumbbl adopt the rules, and if so when. Luckily that's not for me or you either, but for Christer.
So, I'm just going to find something to do while it all happens in the fullness of time. Maybe play some BB. |

You might well end up being the correct Purple - there was some social media chatter earlier coming out of the WW weekend about there potentially being new Goblin positionals in the works. That feels weird to me, since there were a lot of pre-release soothing noises (re: change) and they made the effort to put out a new team list on Friday featuring new names and a new Halfling skill. Changing things again after all of that (change following change) jars with me a bit, perhaps that's because I don't play other GW games and I'm used to BB rules just arriving as a complete set (mainly an LRB 4 first nerd, some prior experience). Potentially (and it's only a bit of chatter so far with little context, not a thing) colour me purple. Er, surprised.
Either way, exciting times, and playing BB. Yep and yep, an attitude we should all be behind. It will be what it will be, and we'll catch up eventually, I expect. It'll still be yummy Blood Bowl. |

Ok, so from what I've gathered from this conversation is that Blood Bowl as a fun game is dead. |
