Perhaps someone "in the know" could explain to me why a team transfer to Unranked [U] is only possible from Academy [A]. I would think a one-way option should be offered from [L] and [R] to [U] also. It would be a nice way to keep those teams that have finished a user-run tournament in [L] or are no longer competing in [R] but continued to play for fun ... It would make [U] a lot more attractive I guess. Making the transfer one way only should be enough to keep it from beeing abused, wouldn't it ? There has been such an option once so technical it shouldn't be a problem. I never understood why Christer took it away. Perhaps he could explain it here ? ... |

He probably forgot to put it back after the league division creation thing. I doubt many people have missed it much. Am I right?

The restrictions in divU are more strict than in divL where you may have non-LRB4 teams like stunty leeg teams or those now grandfathered pact teams.
The unranked division is strictly LRB4, although a more recreational variant than the ranked division.
Maybe there should be recreational unranked smacks. Especially the Rookie smacks could be done there, since they have no influence on CR anyway. |

Does anyone else feel the U-L split is a failed experiment? It is difficult to get games in either division now that the pool of non-Ranked teams has been effectively cut in half. The split has also been very hard on tournaments series like the OCCS or Mully s CCC as there are no teams being trasferred in from R and getting L games to prepare or build for tournies is an exercise in futility.
Do we have some metrics on the 2 divisions? I would wager there are less games played in U and L combined than in old U. I don t see a good reason why we shouldn t recombine the divisions. |

Then split them again into three divisions! Then combine and split into 4 divisions! Woohoo! |

Well, it's the same as it ever was: Kalimar cannot transfer Plorg's ranked teams to unranked division. |
