Sebbel, a Woodie Treeman, rolled doubles on his third skill, already having Block and Guard.

Now, what to do?

Dodge would be great to complement Stand Firm and the obvious Break Tackle at 51 SPP, also makes him nearly impossible to take down.

Pro would be great to stop the Tree from taking root, helps him getting back to his feet and makes double skulls a bit less critical.

Tackle would make that guy a killing machine, especially when you add Multiblock at 51 SPP.

Shadowing? Well, not the obvious choice Wink.

You have to take Pro. It helps with so much (i.e., Take Root, Failed Blocks or Blocks that you need to succeed, GFIs if needed, and Stand Up rolls). Trust me, I have had quite a few Trees on Woody teams and on Fairy teams and taking Pro is great. I would even take Sure Feet before Dodge. Very Few teams try to block Trees and those that do (i.e., dwarf, chaos, orc) have a tackler and guard to bring it down.

Sure feet could help if he quite frequently goes for it.

You already have Stand Firm, or I'd suggest you consider Side Step- (what a pain, esp w/ Guard!)

Pro... yeah, but that's usually for a high SPP player that already has most/all the skills they need. But he's gettin' there, and he'll probably never be here again.

Sure Feet- if you want to increase his effective movement (for a small risk.)

Tackle? That's another offensive skill to add to his others, but only of limited use- play a lot of other elves and dodgers? They tend to get up close and cozy with the Tree? If so, this is the call, both for the hit and to slow them down from waltzing past.

Dodge is also limited with this guy (Ag 1) - if he never gets blocked, it never shows up. If he does get hit regularly, it's solid. It only achieves half of it's potential (with the Ag 1) until you get Break Tackle- but once you do, hoo boy! (That's stepping up into a 2TZ square on a 2+ with RR!)

It'd all depend on your playstyle, and typical opponents. :\

Me?... Dodge, but Pro is a close second.

(and thanks for the cake... I guess.)

If this was a Halfing team I would say Pro or maybe Pass for TTMs.
Since it is a Wood Elf team, I say Dodge.

Blodge sf st6, give him BT next and you got yourself a freak.

BLODGE SF TREE! OMGOMGOMG
Think about it. What player out there is going to have both:
* enough ST with Guardy assists for a 2-dice Block against a ST6 Tree
* the Tackle skill
The number of existing players with both of those criteria are very very few.

edit: Also, Emphasy is correct.
Having Dodge now with Break Tackle as the next skill makes this an awesome player.

maybe you can dodge into tz on a 2+, but what about takeroot? dodge and surefeet become useless if the tree takes root, so give him pro

A Wood Elf tree exists to be hit, so Dodge. If the opposition use a Tackler and a bunch of Guards to bring him down: great - that means those players aren't doing something more worthwhile elsewhere on the pitch.

You WANT your opponent to try to bring down the tree with wood elves. The last thing you want to do is try to discourage them, and dodge will do that.

Take Pro. It's really way better for a tree. Taking Root sucks hard. I would have taken Pro before Block...lucky you, you get another chance.

Pro will help him get to 51 a lot faster. Dosent take root as often, His hits count more often, and since you have SF anyways, you are now gaining half a RR for those Dodge into 2+ TZ occasions, so he will more often end up against multiple Targets.
