Draft will take place this weekend.
Season will hopefully start on Sunday
Changes:
- 2nd and 3rd place teams in Premier will play a game to see who will play the #1 team in a championship game.
- Forfeit rules have changed somewhat. When a team drops out of the league, all opponents get 5 points (this includes the teams that have already played them, even the ones that lost)
- Staff will post to the forum thread communications from coaches with regards to scheduling matches...you will all undertand why forfeits go the way they go.
- Ogres are now allowed as Basher teams.
- NEW Division is now it's own group and is Open Format with a tourney at the end of the season.
- NWL Coaches can have 2 active teams, but only one of them can be active in Fringe, Vet, or Premier, while the other one is in NEW.
- Drafting - we are removing the limitations on specific race, but will maintain the ratio to baller, basher, betweener categories.
- Wizards, Stars, DP Limits remain unchanged.
whew, that's quite a few changes, also not on the list, we will be holding tightly to round deadlines this season, I'm sure you all agree the slippages were ridiculous in season 11, I take full responsibility for that, and we'll not suffer that crap again.
Okay so if I haven't heard from you by saturday, I will make the assumption that you are not interested in participating in next season. |

I'm excited.
I also wanted to add that I've been in a lot of discussions about Blackbox, and Fouling, and just generally asshats, and I have to say, I really have enjoyed the NWL. I have won 0 matches, but I've enjoyed them. |

Really? Why?
I mean with only nine teams playing in the division wouldn't the #1 team be the championship team? So instead we give the second/third place team a 2 game bumper, and 1st place team a 1 game bumper. Won't this make the premier even more unbalanced between established teams and the new comers?
And I'm assuming no stars for these games huh? |

We have, all throughout the season, you know when you play every other opponent in the division (minus the dropouts....bunch of jerks).
All this does is prolong the time till next season, as well as give the higher up teams more games to build up, and achieve a greater disparity from the new comers, (and for that matter, it allows the 2nd/3rd place team more chances then the first placed team) and allows painstate to have fun, if he manages to be online to spec when the games are being played.
I would be of another mind if there were 2 division of premeir and the winners of them came for 1 championship fight, but we're not, so I'm not. |

Well let's try it one season, it's only in Premier and its only 3 teams. I don't think the 2nd place team will consider it a bumper to play a dwarf team in 3rd place.
Premier being unbalanced between established teams vs. new comers is a new one to me. I don't think the established teams feel when they have to cut to 11 players and only 3 rerolls to makeweight for another season. I wonder how they feel about doing that and still giving 2 handicaps to every team they play. The right handicaps can lose a game for you, easy.
BTW, your first game this season you had TR/TS 224/200, you finished 7 games later with 215/197. by your reasoning with all those bumper premier matches you should have built up, not down. 
The whole idea behind the #2 vs. #3 compete to play in the championship. The #1 team automatically plays for the title. <--that is the reward for coming in 1st. If you don't beleive it is a reward, then come in 2nd...or 3rd. for that extra chance to build your team against the other team vying for a shot at the title. heheh |

Well the Season 12 Draft is completed. I was able to give all but a few coaches their first choice, and I did so in draft order so if you did't get your first choice you at least got your 2nd choice and you can assume you drafted very low.

Please apply teams to the new division asap so we can get this thing rolling!

screech - I dont think TR will be an issue as most likely those teams will be at the max TR cap anyway and will have to cut TR for next season. |

Pining for the Fjords defeats Dark Crystal 3-1

Match Summary:
Dark Crystal took the opening kickoff but could not field the ball cleanly on turn 1. After setting up a cage Dark Crystal was able to get a player down field and successfully pass the ball for the TD. On the ensuing kickoff the inexperienced elves got a Blitz and charged the LOS. Unfortunately the Norse had enough Block skill to make Dark Crystal pay for the mistake. After inflicting a KO, BH, and SI, the Fjords evened the score at 1-1. Unable to score a 1 turn TD the first half ended in a tie.
Receiving the ball in the second half the Norse again blocked their way down field easily, with the help of a Dark Crystal BH on a GFI, they scored to take a 2-1 lead. With only 7 Dark Crystal players remaining on the pitch, Pining for The Fjords was able to surround the elves on the next kickoff. A turnover on a failed dodge lead the the third and final score for the Norse. The Dark Elves tried one last long pass attempt on the next offensive series but the ball was intercepted and the game ended in a 3-1 loss.
Awards:
Tolto Garthim received a Mark of Khaine for causing a casualty. |

Assault Armada VS Blood Sea Buccaneer's TONIGHT AT 10:30PM EST!
Come on out and watch the start of another season of VET action. Can the Armada keep rising in the NWL and finish the season primed for the Premier? Can the Buccaneers actually start to play up their potential and stop losing games? Another season of questions and only time will answer them. |

Buccaneers are on high alert going into tonights match up. This morning the trainers arrived getting ready for the game and found a disturbing sight. A Skeleton corpse was found in the trainers Gatorade and further tests revelead a sickly VIRUS in the gatorade. The Bucs have called in a specialist to devise a anti-virus potion to protect its players.
Giving up 3 handis with 4 niggles will be an adventure tonight. |
