With the TR225 Flat Entry Minor now drawn, i would appreciate feedback on the system and the TR level.
The cut off level was TR206. With 2 32 team Tournaments started.
Please state if you are playing in it, spectating it, or just opinionated.
Flat Entry requirements are:
Tournaments designated 'Flat Entry' require that your team has no more than $5k in the bank, no stars and no wizzard recruited at the moment the Tournament is drawn. Freebooters are allowed, as are coaches and cheerleaders. Halflings and Goblins are often allowed to bring a small cash pile to these tournaments and coaches of those races shoudl check individual news posts for the exact figure they are allowed to bring. |

I think I will be loving both, but I can't say before I tried playing in the 225 minor.
I will get back to this when I'm kocked out of the tourney. |

I like the flat entry idea, but it did force me to do some weird maneuvers leading up to the tournament... I banked up 210k so that I would have choices about how to spend down to 225TR. |

I think it lead to a surprising large margin of TR in the tourney. |

The cut off TR was 206 so the margin is only 19 TR (except for the flings). |

Love the idea - wish I would've read the rules first as I hired a star to get me to 225 and then had to cut him... (dumb dumb dumb)
But I pulled BILL BRASKY in the first round, so that makes up for bein' stupid, as I'm sure I'll have fun regardless... |

I played two games now. I love it.
It is very nice ot have a tr 225 toruney, I think they have been lacking for quite some time now. there is a lot of team from 200 to 225.
The flat entry is very cool as well. giving the game a twist it didn't have before.
I would see flat entry in all minors in the future as a very fun thing and would make them even more different from the tour and other tourneys. |

Outside of drawing a good coach's dwarves for round 1, I like the format. |

Format seems to have very positive feedback so far. I think perhaps in the future it might be worth allowing stars and wizards, so those first round games are a little moar.....
crunchy!

I like the idea of it. The only issue I could see is that without cash it's very hard to manage your team to be right on the TR limit. It would take a great deal of micromanaging to end up with a TR of exactly 225.
Perhaps entry to 'Flat Entry' tournaments should be based on 'first-come first-serve' instead of 'closest to the TR cap'. You could institute a TR minimum (something like 200) so that no really low TR teams get in. |

Maybe you could make the cash limit 40k or less. Too little for a wizzo or anything nasty, but you also don't have to throw away money just to get to zero. |
