FUMBBL is full of history. Great coaches, teams and whatnot. Tales to be told and discussed.
That lead me to an idea: spotlight.
There has been few forum topics about teams and coaches who deserve attention. But how about this would be done in organized fashion? A small area in fronts page (for example above the blog section) where staff members could raise one subject to spotlight.
Possible categories could be:
Team: amount of games player, titles won, interesting build, etc
Match: top class game play (positioning, stalling, etc), epic finals, record setting game, huge bloodbath, etc
Coach: contributor to site, number of titles won, interesting/unique way to build teams, achievements
This spotlight could rotate maybe twice a month, so it would not need too much work from staff. And maybe picking a coach to spotlight would need permission from said coach.
The spotlight itself wouldn't have to be anything too big, just a link and few lines of text maybe. Idea is to bring up discussion, opinions and to pay tribute to selected team/coaches. Also you could possibly learn from good replays. |

I agree that it could make for a great addition to the GLN. |

Aye, it indeed is something suited well in GLN, and I suppose GLN sort of does this already in a way. Only "but" is that GLN comes couple times a year, and there are dozens or hundreds interesting subjects worthy of public attention. |
