so, my strenght 4 dwarf blocker just got onto skill number 2, which was a single. Problem is, I suck at choosing skills for dorfs (hence poll)

Guard on all of them. There is no choice really.

MB on the troll slayers and block on the runners.

Guard makes more use of his strenght than MB, i'd choose it.

Wrestle is a horrible choice for nearly all dwarves. I might consider it in some cases for a runner, but for longbeards you should avoid it at all costs, particularly on a st4 player.

Having said that, I vote stand firm, followed by guard. Or vice versa if you're so inclined.

All dwarfs deserve Guard. It's like...their thing. You can certainly take doubles and stats when they present themselves (well, +ST anyway, who cares about AG/MA on a 'beard), but don't get cute with the longbeards. Give them Guard.

Now, if he lives past skill 2, I'd start thinking about BT or MB. BT dwarfs are a little frustrating to play against, since one of the two main things dwarfs have for exploitable weaknesses is their clumsiness and the ease of tying them up.

Only 2 solid choices: guard or MB.

MB will get him guard quite a bit quicker than vice versa, so i would probably take MB.

You need more guard and the ST4 guy is a priority for it -he's already st4 and now he makes those around him st4 too.

Yup SF is rubbish now, because of the CPOMB, you need Guard MB and fend first.
