However, this one is an interesting player!

Goba, an interceptor - perhaps the rarest breed of player outside of leaping DP trolls - attains the rank of legend.

With +AG, dodge, pass block, leap, and nerves of steel, what's the final skill to compliment this ball stealer?

I'm leaning towards pro... the team is fairly agile which is also another consideration.

well, erm, catch makes him a better interceptor. But really he needs block so he doesn't lose the ball so easily once he has won it. Block adds new dimensions to his play that other skills don't.

I usually pass or hand off, I rarely just int (or fetch, the more common scenario) then run with it.

Though he does get blocked/blitzed a lot by envious opponents. Block may keep him alive longer. Wink

Why pro? Yes, you get a mild buff to ints but its not as good as catches, however you also get a potential 2nd bite at leaps and dodges vs tackle and pick ups. These are all frequent challenges for Goba.

A failed leap/dodge during pass block is more critical than a failed int; often he's putting the catcher or thrower in a TZ as well as attempting to catch the pass.

Needs block or wrestle, wouldn't stray to far from either of these.

Really a nice player.
I doubt he is worth his TV (wonder about your opinion about that, do you find him truly useful or is he more a fun thing to play with ?) but i do like him a lot.

I see pro being very useful (for GFI too) but unfortunately the boring block is obviously, at least for me, better.
And thinking about it wrestle even better, would make quite good to pop the ball, thing your team is lacking right now IMO.
Moreover would add another use to the player.

Block or Wrestle would make him just an ordenary player. Catch would make him wierd and special Wink

block is clearly the best skill choice here.

If you take catch, then:
- You will intercept almost at will.
- You can make him an almost impossible to defend 2 turner. (No wall will stop him as a receiver, and you have other ag 5 players, or the dedicated passer for the pass.)

If you take block then:
- Will be a reliable ball carrier.
- Less harm when marking the opposing receiver

Overall i like catch in spite of block is obviously good, but i see this player leaping, dodging out of trouble rather than blocking his way out of it. Your team is quite good on the blocking side. Also you have a dedicated sacker in the form of a wrackle witch. So i think you could protect this player even without the block skill.

If you want him to be special, then take catch. If you want him to be longer around, then pick block.

P.s. I am a big fan of pro, but not on this player.

Which would call for Sure Hands. 0.09 interceptions per game isn't exactly impressive.^^ But really, Block.
