Grundo from The Pirate of Bogwash just got his third skill and it is 5+5.

He already has block. I am leaning towards pro for its usefulness every turn but do you guys think I should take a stat/another double?

I know there are lots of coaches who are way better than me so I would very much appreciate any advice you have.

It's a box goblin team if that makes a difference to people's suggestions.

I think you've got 3 options:

1. Grundo the Killer - tackle and then piling on at 51spp.
2. Grundo the Reliable - pro.
3. Grundo the Cagebreaker - dodge and then break tackle at 51spp.

Personally I'd not use the killer build, as I think you can build your other troll as that and 2 doubles is not to be sniffed at. Also as you're a goblin team you're never gonna win the attrition war

As he's still got 3 skill rolls coming, there's a 50% chance he'll get a third double (assuming he lives). So I think dodge now, then break tackle and stand firm or jugger.

Speaking from experience, nobody likes playing against a blodge troll, regardless of road block or cage threat.

Pro is an easy choice. Great for TTM as well.

Dodge
Then needs stand firm.
You'll have an incredibly annoying road block.
Finish with break tackle and grab, you'll never be sorry.

Dodge then BT / SF, makes a very capable all round player. Most important thing for gobbos is a troll that is always in the right place protecting his buddies so survivability and maneouverability are critical and Dodge fits both those roles.

If he already had Dodge then I might prefer +Ma ahead of SF.

I have to agree with Dodge. A blodging troll is a stout troll. Considering they are your most valuable players out of the box, survival is paramount.

Dodge over Pro. It's good now. It gets better with more skills. There are just so many reasons to go with dodge.

I presume pythrr is joking.

Anyway I think Pro, though dodge a good choice.

Sidestep would be great fun but I decided to go with dodge.

I figured best if he lives to get more skills and nice synergy with break tackle later on.

Thanks for all your help everyone.

Sidestep for big guys? Not even once. Seriously.

Stand firm isn't quite as good as sidestep but it is similar amongst these st5 guys. And you get it on a normal roll. There is just too much option on doubles. (Pro, Dodge, tackle, diving tackle) Never take sidestep.
