This is a poll open for all members of FUMBBL.
Someone has suggested making an entirely NEW LEAGUE using the Grudge League ruleset, redline/deadline system, race slots, season & point table structure and possibly the same fluff as well - with Stunty races.
In order for this to happen, we need
a) someone to host the league (I am too busy on my own)
b) enough participants
c) some participants willing to become staff members for the new league
d) a decent name for the new league
This is a simple poll for checking whether or not there would be enough people interested in joining such a league. If not, no bother to create one. |

{Tue, 17. Jan}[01:04] <shadow46x2-werk> the potential stuntyleague....we talking [U] stunty teams?...or [S] teams that have been transferred to [U]?
{Tue, 17. Jan}[01:04] <shadow46x2-werk> Cuz don't [U] stunty teams not have g access?
If there are enough people interested in the first place, we can either have another poll or let the voluntary main organiser decide.
If there aren't any people interested in this potential stunty league to begin with, it doesn't matter anyway. |

G access or no G access? #grudgeleague log file
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:05] <Karhumies> I think non-g access would be better for long-term team development
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:06] <Karhumies> g access would be better for getting more players in but also more dropouts and team replecements, I think
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:07] <Karhumies> 15 races total...
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:07] <Karhumies> Chaos Halfling, good in either
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:07] <Karhumies> Eshin, prolly needs non-gen to survive
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:08] <Karhumies> Fairies, average in either I'd say...non-gen trees = bad but non-gen opposing bgs = good
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:09] <Karhumies> Gnoblars with non-gen would be rather broken IMO. Ogre Maneaters don't have BG negatrait. I think they are fine if they are not allowed to hire Maneaters as a league special rule in non-gen.
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:09] <Karhumies> Gnomes would love non-gen. they are slightly below average in gen-access IMO.
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:09] <Karhumies> Gobbos are great in both.
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:10] <Karhumies> Cheaters are way better in non-gen, as they ahve no BGs.
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:10] <Karhumies> Flings are decent in both, as they have Ogre access.
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:10] <shadow46x2-werk> *nod*...i'll have to finish up this conversation another night...i need to get my ass out of here
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:10] <Karhumies> oki
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:10] <Karhumies> in short: i'd prefer non-gen
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:11] <Karhumies> because that way there would be a wider variety of races
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:11] <Karhumies> and actually some ball-playing
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:11] <Karhumies>
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:11] <shadow46x2-werk> heh fair enough
{Tue, 17. Jan}[02:11] <Karhumies> with gen, it's a quick last team standing casfest
Feel free to post your own opinion(s) on the matter! |

(U)stunty teams = stunty play
(S)stunty teams = BG mayhem
so I'd go for teams made for Unranked.

I would join if the tournament was non-gen access.
Not sure how you would deal with doubles though, maybe ask an admin to assist, like in Peikko's tourney.

Yeah the problem with choosing non-gen acces would be that coaches could still make an S-team and transfer them, and "just" roll doubles in 1/3 of the skill rolls...
So we'd have to do something like Peikko's tournament, but do we have anyone able to do that (change skills picked)?
If we can do it, I'm all for non-gen acces. |

i wouldn't count on that happening, it would be a matter of trusting all the coaches involved |

Is there a reliable way of easily tracking the division into which the team has originally been created? Would solve this matter easily. |

hmmm... I just got an idea actually, I'm not if it's possible.
Make it so that all teams who apply most be [R]anked teams.
So in order to join, you make a team in Ranked, apply, get approved, and then move it to Unranked.
That way you'd be sure that all new teams who joined had non-gen acces BG's.
The problem I see is that I'm not sure if you can make a group with both Ranked and Unranked teams?
If you can, I just solved the problem! yay! :p |

problem with that is, a lot of coaches, myself included, already have 5 [r] teams, so if we wanted to play, we'd have to retire another team...

Then I have another (editted) suggestion:
In order to join, you must send the link of the team you wish to join with BEFORE getting it approved (when it's still "new"), then get it approved, and then join. (It'd still be possible to cheat this though, it'd just be a wee bit harder...) |

that's actually a decent idea....
before clicking the submit for approval button...it'll still list as [u]....
good thinking
