Ah... I'm going to call that a typo.
2.5 is better than 1.5, but still on the tight side.

Such pessimism.
@ Sonrises - if you can make it work, welcome! I think the reaction was more at the difficulty of achieving that, given your own stated time limitations, than anything personal. |

The RFAdvantage Rankings
RFA week 8 rankings are here. Die you commie league quitters!
The RFAdavantage . The MOST accurate team ranker by week!
1. Wisconsin 6-2-0 (.775) Last RFA #5 #8 SoS
~ The Grue's prove themselves to be the powerhouse of the NCBB, with no losses, a big win vs a top team, and a top notch strength of schedule puts them ahead of a Fresno program who's weakness has been exposed
+12 TD -3 casualties (+9 net) #19 Texas next week
2. Fresno 7-1-0 (.751) Last RFA #1 #24 SoS
~ The Red Waves ruined their perfect season, but are still in good position to get a national title game invite.
+10 TD +35 casualties (+35 net) #18 BYU next week
3. Slam D 6-0-2 (.701) Last RFA #2 #6 SoS
~ The Smacks could challenge Fresno for the division and likely for a shot at the national title, but would need the Red Wave to continue to lose while they win
+6 TD +6 casualties (+12 net) #30 Navy next week
4. Hawaii 6-0-2 (.701) Last RFA #8 #12 SoS
~ Hawaii has stepped up big to regain a top spot, but could easily end up in the Orange Bowl as the 3rd ranked team in their division.
+13 TD -12 casualties. (+1 net) #31 UNM next week
5. UCon 5-1-2 (.692) Last RFA #3 #4 SoS
~ The Convicts had a chance to prove they were title candidates, but failed and will likely not be able to make up ground for a shot.
+7 TD +5 casualties(+12 net) #7 Ohio next week
6. Florida 5-3-0 (.675) Last RFA #4 #16 SoS
~ The Gators are still unbeaten, but with 3 ties in a weak conference really hurts, and will likely relegate them to the Rose or Orange bowl at best.
+7 TD +19 casualties (+26 net) #16 Ten next week
7. Ohio 5-1-2 (.650) Last RFA #9 #7 SoS
~ The drunks play UCon in the final week. The winner will likely go to the Rose bowl, while the loser could be relegated to a far lesser bowl game.
-1 TD +9 casualties (+8 net) #18 Maryland next week
8. WWAF 4-3-1 (.644) Last RFA #11 #10 SoS
~ AF could be returning to glory after their accident. Can thei take their division? It will all come down to the week 9 matches.
+2 TD +5 casualties (+7 net) #11 SFL next week
9. Bulter 5-1-2 (..643) Last RFA #6 #14 SoS
~ Butler is running the same record as UCon and Ohios but is the 4th team in their division. Too many soft teams in the division makes those wins suspect.
+3 TD -9 casualties (-6 net) #28 GBB next week
10. Cali 5-1-2 (.628) Last RFA #7 #17 SoS
~ The Golden Lizards are a solid team with a solid record, but have caught a lot of teams when they were not at their best this season. They could still challenge for a Rose or Orange bid if things fall out right in the last week.
+2 TD +8 casualties (+10 net) #14 Missou next week
11. SFL 3-3-2 (..609) Last RFA #16 #3 SoS
~ How the hell the Roaches have this tough of a SoS in such a weak division is beyond me. I just programmed the numbers. (Ok, they have faced each of their opponents at their peak this season) They are the highest ranked team with negative differentials in TD and Cas.
-1 TD -4 casualties (-5 net) #8 AF next week
12. HSU 3-2-3 (.589) Last RFA #23 #2 SoS
~ The Jacks tough schedule is paying off in some ways, their 3 wins are enought to put them in a competitive position, despite the fact that they need to avoid a final week loss which would make them ineligible for bowl consideration.
+0 TD -12 casualties (-12 net) #23 Wash next week
13. Oregon 5-1-2 (.588) Last RFA #15 #22 SoS
~ The Ducks have already locked up a bowl invite, and could still conceivably win their division, but at best will qualify for the DeadEx Orange Bowl.
+5 TD -13 casualties (-8 net) #20 Nip next week
14. Missou 2-4-2 (.582) Last RFA #10 #6 SoS
~ The tigers have faltered in the last couple weeks, they need a tie or better to be bowl eligible, and they have to do that against a Cali team that can be hard to stop sometimes.
+0 TD -15 casualties (-15 net) #10 Cali. next week
15. AZ 3-3-2 (.578) Last RFA #12 #15 SoS
~ The GGW have secured themselves bowl eligibility, but that is about all. Definitely a down year after bringing home the title.
+2 TD +0 casualties (+2 net) #35 SS next week
16. Ten 4-1-3 (.531) Last RFA #13 #25 SoS
~ The Lady Vols weak schedule holds back their 4 wins and will justify they get a mediocre bowl game at best. They have already secured bowl eligibility for this season, and could really help their outlook against the division leader Florida.
+1 TD +16 casualties (+17 net) #6 FL next week
17. Vampy 2-4-2 (.523) Last RFA #20 #14 SoS
~ The Commonthralls have as many wins as losses and going into the final week, have to avoid a loss at all costs or be bowl ineligible this season. They have a struggling Maryland team in their final matchup, so should be able to come out with the tie/win they need.
-1 TD -13 casualties (-14 net) #22 Mary next week
18. BYU 3-1-2 (.500) Last RFA #19 #23 SoS
~ The Boys was once the last of the AQ teams with a winning record, now they are the first of the teams with a losing record. They have a chance to win their final game and qualify for bowl consideration.
-2 TD +17 casualties (+15 net) #2 Fresno next week
19. Texas 2-2-4 (.498) Last RFA #11 #11 SoS
~ The Aggros will not see a bow game this season. They have too many losses for a bowl invite and enough wins to avoid the ignominy of a McNurgle's.
+1 TD +0 casualties (+1 net) #1 Wisc next
20. Nippon 3-1-4 (.491) Last RFA #22 #13 SoS
~ The Nits are on the bubble for a bowl, if they win their last game vs Oregon, they can qualify with a non-losing record. That is a big if when you have to beat Oregon for the chance.
-4 TD -10 casualties (-14 net) #13 Oregon next week
21. Maryland 2-1-5 (.490) Last RFA #18 #5 SoS
~ The Terps had a top 5 schedule this season, but were just not able to do anything with it. With 5 losses under their belt, their only possible bowl game will be the McNurgles.
-3 TD +6 casualties (+3 net) #17 Vampy next week
22. TT 3-0-3 (.464) Last RFA #14 #26 SoS
~ The Rat Raiders are running a neutral record but 2 losses back to back puts this team scampering for a win or tie in the final game to avoid a losing season.
+2 TD -4 casualties (-2 net) #32 Kent next week
23. Washington 2-2-4 (..458) Last RFA #21 #19 SoS
~ Wash faltered in the past couple weeks and has played themselves out of bowl contention. There is always next year.
+1 TD -3 casualties (-2 net) # 12 HSU next week
24. UCLA 1-2-5 (.411) Last RFA #28 #16 SoS
~ The Bruisers went unbeaten over the past two weeks and jump up 4 spots, looking to avoid the dreaded McNurgle's invite.
-8 TD +14 casualties (+6 net) #26 OK next week
25. CSUB 4-2-0 (.399) Last RFA #24 #33 SoS
~ CSUB has gone undefeated in an underwhelming non-AQ, they will get a bowl game, but a bowl of no consequence.
+5 TD +1 casualties (+6 net) #33 NW next week
26. OK 1-0-6 (.398) Last RFA #30 #1 SoS
~ The Raters pick up an important win, but could still easliy be considered for the McNurgle's.
-11 TD -13 casualties (-24 net) #24 UCLA next week
27. Birm 3-2-1 (.361) Last RFA #25 #32 SoS
~ The Pigs were found too rude for the world and were thrown out as best as we can surmise, how someone gets thrown out of the world, not league, WORLD, we will never know.
+1 TD +3 casualties (+4 net) #27 NW next week
28. GBB 1-1-3 (.308) Last RFA #33 #28 SoS
~ The Bulldogs chances of a bowl invite have fallen by the wayside since they can no longer reach a .500 record. They will likely be looked over for the McNurgles as that game only wants teams who have shown a full season of failure.
-4 TD -7 casualties (-11 net) #9 Butler next week
29. Bama 1-3-3 (.292) Last RFA #29 #30 SoS
~ The Tide roll , picking up their 1st win of the season but it could be too little too late, they will need to win their last 2 matches just to make a .500 record.
-2 TD +2 casualties (+0 net) # BYE next week
30. Navy 1-0-7 (.285) Last RFA #26 #20 SoS
~ The Midskeletonmen are still nursing their one forfeit win this season in hopes of avoiding the bowl that could be named after them pretty soon. How does the McSkeleton
Bowl sound to you?
-14 TD -7 casualties (-21 net) #3 SD next week
31. UNM 0-1-2 (.266) Last RFA #35 #35 SoS
~ The Blows were able to find a non-loss, 3 cheers for the Blowers.
-6 TD -4 casualties (-10 net) #4 Hawaii next week
32. Kent 1-1-2 (.245) Last RFA #32 #31 SoS
~ The Staches still have a shot at a .500 record. Will the NCBB consider them for a bowl should they achieve that mark is another question altogether.
-1 TD +1 casualties (+0 net) #23 TT next week
33. NW 2-1-4 (.239) Last RFA #27 #34 SoS
~ The Wicked can still achieve a .500 season should they win their final two matches. The can be planning for nothing less.
-2 TD -4 casualties (-6 net) #25 CSUB next week
Rocketing up in the standings this RFA:
Two Week change
HSU +11
GBB +5
SFL +5

I'd put Hawaii 3rd and SDSU no higher than 4th: both our losses were rivalries. There's no way we deserve serious national championship consideration. Aenir will forfeit, so I should get a good bowl, but I'm voting for Grue and Fresno, even with Fresno's loss to BYU. (If I'd held on for the tie vs. Hawaii, I'd be singing a different tune... but even then, I lost head-to-head vs. the Red Wave.) |

But that McNurgle was our best game last season...
And we already played the Honeygrues, with an unexpected semi-upset tie, if at the cost of one of our best players late in the game. Ver' sad.
But at least we ain't no commie league quitters! We'll be back, and this time with (one fewer than expected) seniors!! |

Heh. Not *this* league anyway...
Sorry, Smeathead... but you served that one up like a bacon wrapped scallop. Too many folks cross over leagues for me to not point that out. Gotta keep up my "King Dickhead" persona, right?!? |

Really...
I don't consider what you run a "League" as much as the kingdom of King Dickhead. And I'll quit something like that every time.
But don't worry - your reputation is safe. Hell, you don't even have to try. |

Wait, so getting forfeited to by Navy puts us up above the rest of our division, who had to take the SoS hit for having played Navy instead of just sucking up the auto-win with 0 SPP to show for it. Okay. That's actually pretty smart. So really the Hawaii/UNM game decides whether Hawaii is 3rd and SDSU is 4th, or if the Smacktecs are 3rd and Hawaii is ... wow, could be out of the top 10. |
