Fun fact from NFL:
Vikings starting Quarterback (thrower) injured, then team traded for Sam Bradford, a league average starter who never fulfilled his No1 draft status, for a 1st and 4th round picks.
Price seems to be high, Viking were desperate, but the deal may just work out for them as they are serious playoff contenders. Their window may close quickly as Adrian Peterson, their legendary running back is on the wrong side of 30, and this is NOW their super bowl window. |

Cabalvision are proud to present Beanchilla's awesome Round 5 awards video.
Featuring the death of a franchise player, a missed game winning opportunity, a thrower that would not let his team lose and a stunning Devin Hester-esq play of the week.
Thanks to all the judges and Beanchilla
Enjoy!

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,
You are listeing to DLE Game Day.
The regular season is halfway through after 7 rounds, and it is high time to name the playoff contenders and pretenders. Lets go through division by division.
SHC NORTH
1. Carroburg Crimson Cascade 9 points
2. Erengrad Vikings 9 points
3. Praag Grizzlies 6 points
4. Wolfenburg Wolfskins 5 points
Analyis: Cascade and Vikings are leading by far. Interestingly they played in round1 and split the points, so tiebreakers are needed. Cascade has a better record against the division rivals, so they are at the 1st place. The other 2 need to pull off some miracle to catch any of them.
Game to watch: Rematch between Cascade and Vikings in round 12! The winner may take it all.
SHC EAST
1. Drakenhof Legion 12 points
2. Grenzburg Greenskins 8 points
3. Muckenhof Manticores 6 points
4. Dead Wood Rangers 2 points
Analyis: Legion is leading a way, and after beating the Greenskins there is little doubt they will win the division.
Game to watch: Greenskins vs Manticores for a wild card spot in round 9.
SHC SOUTH
1. Monte Castello Wreckers 7 points
2. Irrana Avalanche 7 points
3. Brionne Buccaneers 6 points
4. Barboza Bruisers 6 points
Analyis: This is a race between even forces! Anybody can get into the playoff. What seems impossible is that the 2nd place get a wild card spot, as teams split the points very often.
The No1 spot at the moment is decided on face to face result, Wreckers beat Avalanche in round 7. There is also a tie at 3rd place, where we need to dig deep into the tiebreakers, and is decided on CAS and TD difference.
Game to watch: All!
SHC WEST
1. Skar Bay Sharks 12 points
2. Kemperbad Knights 11 points
3. DunkelBerg White Wolfs 3 points
4. Barboza Marauders 0 points
Analyis: Very likely that this division will produce 2 playoff contenders. Sharks are leading for now, but Knights are not giving up just yet. The Sharks used unique team building during last draft, compiling lots of late round draft picks, and filling the whole roster with 16 deeply skilled players. But injuries hit them hard, so the 2nd part of the season will be more challanging.
Game to watch: Sharks vs Knights in round 10
We will come back shortly with the KFC divisions after the commercial break! |

Welcome back from the commercial break,
You are listeing to DLE Game Day.
We had a deep look at the SHC conference, and as promised, KFC is next. Which team is contender, which is pretender? Stay with us!
KFC NORTH
1. Flaschfurt Universe 10 points
2. Hargendorf Unicorns 9 points
3. Marienburg Foxes 8 points
4. Emsk Cardinals 4 points
Analyis: Flashfurt is the defending champion, so lets not bet against them. So i assume they will win their division, but i am sure they will need to work hard to get there. Bad luck or any slip could result in trouble. Marienburg Foxes (who relocated recently in a scandalous way), and the Hargendorf Unicorns are also in the hunt, be it division title or wild card spot.
Game to watch:
Universe vs Unicorns in round 13
Universe vs Foxes in round 12
Unicorns vs Foxes in round 10
KFC EAST
1. Nuln Gunners 10 points
2. Averheim River Bandits 9 points
3. Talabheim Sluggers 6 points
4. Templehof Thunder 2 points
Analyis: Thunder is out. Talabheim is a longshot. Gunners are leading, but the Bandits give a good effort, makes them run for the glory (and money). Trouble for Bandits is that they lost to Gunners in round 2. So they HAVE TO win in the 2nd affair.
Game to watch: Gunners vs Bandits in round 11.
KFC SOUTH
1. Wolfsbach Scimitars 11 points
2. San Luis 49ers 7 points
3. Rotenbach Razorbacks 6 points
4. Remas Eagles 4 points
Analyis: Scimitars are leading by a significant margin. The other teams are still in the hunt, but it is a longshot to dethrone the Scimitars, or even reach a wild card spot.
Game to watch: Eagles games! New ownership, better results. They promise to win out. Can they do it?
KFC WEST
1. Broekwater Patriots 11 points
2. Akendorf Griffins 10 points
3. Altdorf Thunderbolts 2 points
4. Middenheim Classics 0 points
Analyis: This is a 2 way race between Griffins and Patriots, but this division is expected to produce a wild card team. Patriots and Griffins tied their first meeting, so the second one will be crucial. Thunderbolts and Classics are out of playoff contention this season.
Game to watch: Griffins vs Patriots in round 10. |

Just saw the Fifth round awards videos. The Awards Committee has again done a great job, and this time they also gets an excuse and some Crimson cascade roses from a certain young female DLE player. (If you have no idea what this is about, read my blog entry ) |
