I've been playing some Vampire and wondering how more experienced coaches run them. How many Do you hire in total? What is your favorite way to develop them?
Post a link to your vampire roster!

SSL is a no retirements league with fouling bonuses, obviously more Regen is good, they're still a bit of a mess, and I need that slow one to die some time so I can get a new 6th who isn't MA 5. +MA on Vamps is stupidly good, and the MA 8 hitter is the best Vamp I've ever had.

These guys were earlier, not built all that well, tried a few things that aren't great, but box is where you face massive killer teams all the time, those Vamps survive well despite that with a bit more of a Guard-heavy build (which works better at mid-TV for winning, but still helps if you end up stuck in Tent city). The hitter there has regenerated from death, I think, eight times, luckiest Vamp ever. The thralls do not survive box play long, but they protect the Vamps.
In any case, 6 Vamps as soon as you can. Thralls are garbage foulers, your kicker, some wrestle doesn't hurt, fend on any decent ones, but the accumulation of Superstar Vamps is what will turn them from a pretty bad starting roster into genuine contenders. +AG thralls not bad for a 2-turn passing play, if you don't build a dedicated passing Vamp from an AG 5. Worth protecting. +ST thralls are great, but they are busy and will die.
You must take Pro though, RRs can cover 3 Vamps, past that and especially at higher TV you must get Pro early on Vamps, the bloodlust and gaze demand it.
At low TV, you need block on some vamps, dodge on others, just for the basics. At mid TV you have the basics and need some Pro so it works more often. At high TV you need everyone Pro, and even Pro first on replacements.
Always 1-2 hitters (Block, MB, Tackle, Pro, Sidestep, prefer on your first +MA) and in general just a lot of Blodgestep Pro so you get hurt less after the gazes. +AG gazers are game-winners, and +ma hitters and ballers (Sure Hands) is much harder to protect against. +ST are nice, very good vs ST 4 ballers, but they still need protected all game.
Some people don't run a dedicated hitter, just a few with tackle to go for the ball, some people build a wrackle-strip vamp, for me I want to hurt their ball carrier when I get him down and vamps on the ground are half way to being dead already. |

You may have 6 vamps on the team, that does not mean you field 6 vamps.
5 is probably the ideal number you want on the field. Some only field 4. I think lower then 4 you are really risking getting overpowered.
I find Pro works very well, it's an instant choice if "off for a bite" gets triggered. |

I can only comment as a TT player for Vamps and as a coach who has played against a solid vampire team in Southern Wastes League. I built my TT team up to 5 vampires and got close to buying a 6th; Blodge, Pro, Sidestep on 3 Vamps, or if one died on their way to that build; 2 Vamps with Block,Pro,Tackle,MB. Plenty of Thralls, a mix of Wrestle or block (Fend if they live long enough), dirty player, one with kick and a couple with Guard that had perms. They go into harm's way with Guard and either die or get injuries.
In our League...
mOgw41; His team sits at around 2000 TV with 5 vampires, 11 thralls, 4 RR and an apoth (fan factor at ; competitive League with a positive Win/Loss ratio so he does well with them. Plenty of fodder; only 3 thralls have skills and they are the key ones; kick (vampire teams love kick); with a Blitz result and Gaze it's amazing what you can achieve. Leader on a double for the cheaper RR and all of his vampires either have Pro or will pick up Pro in time. Screen with the thralls and pressure with the vamps. Get a +AG Vamp and add in a throwing game instead of a running cage. |

@Keothi
Can you check the spelling on the coach? Or provide the team name? It doesn't show up in the finder. |

Ideally ... 6! They are so much better than thrall. 6 is the way to go. |

start with 4 vamps, then buy 10 thralls, and last buy the other 2 vamps, its important to have pro in the vamps to dont destroy ur team but u need the 6 vamps to be a competitive team, 1 or 2 vamps could be hurted around the match and then u are seriously in probs to do something in the match if u dont have 6.. |

Good example of an interesting way to run a vampire team. 6 vampires, 2-3 rerolls max and no leader. Embrace the random! |

I ran my league vamp team for most of their career with 4 vamps. Once they'd all achieved legend status I added the 5th and 6th vamps. It totally changes the dynamic on the pitch having 5+ vamps. At high TV Pro is certainly your friend.
Alderman High Vipers
These guys are probably my favourite team, so much fun to play and whilst there are games when they enter a feeding frenzy there are also games when they do utterly ridiculous plays. |

Thanks to everyone for your input!
Any advice on the future development of a STR5 Vamp?

One part of me wants to go ball carrier that is tough to put down, but I could also see as designated hitter with MB. |
