Matt I think it's fine - aside from bombs the passing stat lets them do the rare passing play. I think the hefty and chameleon are the only two with passing skill access.
In regards to angst over goblin nerfs for what it's worth I realized recently that goblins over the last two years have their best two win rates _ever_ in NAF events. That's probably overperforming vs design specs given their historic win rate through 20 years/multiple editions of the rules.
I don't know where to find similar data for FUMBBL but I suspect a lot of goblin play in FUMBBL is done for a lark for a few games with only a small subset of serious goblin coaches.

By the way... goblins had 4+ passing before bb2020 (counting agi3 + stunty). Was never too strong before. |

Indeed. I don't understand why the PA baseline wasn't set to 3+ rather than 4+ in the 2020 rules. |

Before BB2020 there was no multiple rr per turn. Consider that too.
Also, Elves have PA 4+. If Goblins have PA 4+ then Elves should have PA 3+.
Goblins should be about fouling, Secret Weapons and TTM. They should have some related boosts (rostered bribes and a better Doom Diver and Bomma).
Passing the ball is not something they are supposed to do as well as an Elf (or a Human). |

Still you are comparing a professional lineman with a professional lineman. |

100% this. Passing the ball has nothing to do with agility in the current edition of the rules or in real life football on which BB is based. Plenty of big lumbering QBs who have amazing arms. |

Goblins don't look big and lumbering. They are short and with thin arms. |

Their base throwing is unchanged. Silly sausage |

There are also short and fast QBs with amazing arms.
But being a fast agile player (i.e. a wide receiver type) doesn't mean you throw the ball well. You cover ground better and 'dodge' hits better. |
