This thread is to be used for storing any fluff/graphic related material for the OBBA. The use of these is entirely optional but is recommended as per the fluffy nature of the league.

All official records are stored on the stats page

OBBA Banner

You can add the OBBA banner wherever you like, most notably in your Team Bio.
To use the one hosted on FUMMBL you can use the following code:

To use the better quality (Larger) image you may use the following code, and specify the physical size by editing the width tag of the HTML appropriately – in this xample it is 40% the true size.

Note – for some reason the height tag with a percentage doesn’t work, but the image will be sized to equal proportions by using just the width tag with a percentage value in any case, alternatively use absolute values, e.g. width=100 hieght=75.

Player Awards (Unofficial)

Player awards are optional and the sole responsibility of the Coach, these are used simply to add character to your players and teams, feel free to use and omit them as you like.

All the awards are hosted on fumbbl, and it is recommended that they are added to your player and/or team bios, as and when the award criteria is met, and supplied with a link to the achievement (Be that a player that was killed, or the game it was achieved in).

Changing the alt tags allows you to put up a pop-up message when the mouse is over the image. Change the href value within the link tag (<a href=””>) to link to the html page of your choice.

A player may hold multiple awards of the same type, for instance if the player has killed more than 1 opposing player.

Player Awards (Official)

The OBBA utilises a program to compile statistical data for teams so that awards may be handed out at the end of the season. You do not have to keep your own records. The idea is that at the end of every month award tables will show the top five players in each category, ala Leader Board.

All awards will then be handed out to the Players in the number one slot at the end of the season.

Permanent records will be kept on the OBBA pages which may be linked to.

The current awards are:

MVP – This will be award to the player in the League that has earned the highest number of SPPs in each division for that season. Where this is tied the player with the LEAST number of MVPs will receive the award – as this a random contribution.

Top Scorer – This will be awarded to the who has scored the most number of TDs in his division for that season. Where this is tied the player with the most number of rushing yards will receive the award.

Top Passer – This will be awarded to the player with the most number of completions in his division for that season. Where this is tied the award will go to the player with the most number of passing yards.

Top Tackler – This will be awarded to the player with the most number of casualties in his division for that season. Where this is tied the award will go to the player with the most number of blocks.

Dirty Play – This will be awarded to the Player that has committed the most number of fouls in the division for that season, where this is tied it will go to the player with the highest number of casualties.

Pansy Play – This will be awarded to the team with the fewest fouls in the division for that season, where this is tied, the team with the lowest number of casualties will receive the award.

Monthly Awards(Coming soon)
Currently there is one monthly award (Although not strictly monthly depending on games played etc) and that is the TD of the Month.

Nominations will be put forward by any coach (and it doesn't have to be a TD scored by your player) and OBBA members will vote upon their favourite by poll.
Nominations should be submitted with a link to the game, and the turn(s) number to view the TD to speed up the replay process.

The winner of the award will be granted the TD of the Month award.

At the end of a Season/Cup Competition the winner of the Cup/Division will be presented with the appropriate title. This will also be stored as a matter of record on the Group Page.

Owing to the fluffy nature of the league we strongly encourage Coaches to keep statistical data and interesting tid-bits on their Team/Players bios, though this is not required. You can do this in any manner you see fit, however we suggest the following:

All nice, but please modify "Genocidal Maniac" Medal symbol.
Better not to use that.

It was allowed by the admins, so if they're happy with it and no OBBA members are offended (Which I doubt) then I will be keeping it I'm afraid.

And it happens to be my fav.

I'm not making any issue. I'm just stating a point: better not to use symbols that refer to things that might hurt ppl feelings in one way or the other.

It's up to you and admins. I just wanted to give a sound advice and/or help you consider some aspects you might have missed.

Ok.

So if any OBBA member is actually offended by the Blood Bowl Award depicting a Nazi symbol, or you simply think it in bad taste to relate the Nazi symbol to Genocide - then let me know and I'll change it.

Maybe the depiction of an African massacre would be less offensive. Rolling Eyes

But I'll likely do a Nuclear explosion or something. Crying or Very sad

Yea, better edit the Genocidal Maniac one. Actually using swastikas is illegal in some european countries.
I like they idea though, but no-one is going to put a swastika on there team bio..(right!?).

The medals are all really cool though! Especially the Cas-Trick! Wink

Think you'll find it's a few, notably: Germany, France and Austria. And not in all contexts as far as I'm aware, e.g. Educational.

But I'll change it anyway since Chewie wants to. End of Nazi discussion.

Awesome work, SeraphimRed!

I love it, especially the medals, and can't wait to use that stuff on my player pages. Except for the Genocidal Maniac award, though I like the idea of it too. I wouldn't even call it offensive. It's just that, being german, I wouldn't want to showcase a Nazi symbol on one of my team pages.

Perhaps I'll just put up a modfied version of the medal, with an orc face or an elf-ear or something, depending on the race, if I ever breed a blood-thirsty maniac to whom the award would apply Mr. Green
