hi, just a strange question:

is it possible to create teams with fixed TV, some assigned skills, no SPP, just like tabletop tourney games?

I was wondering about, because I'd like to train me a bit and I can't play so much tabletop

You can do it in test mode.

They play in test mode too! I do it all the time. If I have an important [L] or tourney game, I grab a sympathetic coach, either a buddy of mine or some coach who wants to see the other guy lose (divisional politics, etc.), and play a test game running my team, with them running the other guy.

Just agree on the game name "test:xxx" will do the trick.

You can even play other people's teams that way. Use this url: http://fumbbl.com/ffb.jnlp?id=XXXXXX, where XXXXXX is your team number (the six-digit number in your team's url).

Incredibly handy!

You need to make sure there's a space between test: and the gamename though.

Really?

Wow - you have too much time on your hands.

So in test mode you can create teams and just give players skills like with tourney skill packs?

I've wondered the same thing that the OP is asking.

Can you change a teams roster? I've tried this but it only works on a limited basis. Most teams start tournaments at 1.1m or more. FUMBBL only lets you create fresh teams at 1m.

that's a legend i don't know where it came from. The space is not needed but it works with it too

Fair enough, serves me right for passing on hearsay. I haven't used test mode much myself, I just passed on the advice I heard in IRC.

ok it works on skills and on playing against opponents on the net,
but how to change the roster, rerolls, fan factor and so on?

Typically only 2-4 turns then concede... make sure you end the game though, or when you go to list open games it will be there forever.

check the help section while on test mode. There is a list of commands to change skills, statlines, rolls, rerolls, and pretty much everything you can think of. It might take a while if you want to modify a roster a lot, though.
