I was wondering what people think are the best teams for developing a passing game?
I think most of us tend not to focus on passing as there is a big margin for error but I would really like to make a passing-themed team, as it is so under-represented. The other problem I guess we have is that, like a blitz, passing is a once-a-turn action, so it is harder to focus on in ant given turn.
In addition, all teams with players (throwers, runners etc) who access passing skills on a normal roll are restricted to two players per team. Unless there are any I am mising?
Passing lends itself naturally to the elves of course. Which team would you pick out of the four pointy-eared varieties? And which of the ag3 teams would you pick?
Also, glad to be back on FUMBBL, 13 years, a house, a wife and a baby later.... . Can't get BB, or those little Javascript players out of my memory!
Best,
Andy |

There is one team you're missing with P access on normals on more than 2 players: Chaos Pact. I wouldn't say that made them much, if at all, better as a specialised passing team though. |

pro elves do well with NoS on 4 players and high ma. The high elf thrower is the best natural thrower with safe throw, but struggles with being slow in my experience. I would take pro over high. wood elves need to pass less often than the others due to higher average ma.
Humans are the best ag3 passers, but they are only genuinely good at it if they roll some +ag |

I think low speed makes passing play actually more worthwhile...
What's the point of ever passing when you can rush 16 squares a turn with just a hand off? |

Pro or high elves. One has the best thrower the other the best catchers.
For AG3 would go Humans. |

Pro elves by a mile.
Edit:
Humans probably the "best" amongst ag3 teams, bur you really need ag4 or diving catch on at least 1 catcher. 1 in 9 is terrible odds for ball handling. |

Chaos Pact! They have the only players with Strength, Passing and Mutations, so they can get all the passing skills on one player. They can also built multiple receivers with NOS and extra arms, which no other team can. On top of that, you have 3 guys who can “pass†one of their team mates. Finally it would be a pretty unique and interesting team. |

They can capitalize on passing especially when trying to get a defensive pickup and putting the ball in scoring position but...
The Pro Elves, they are just well...Pros. |

It's Pro Elves without a doubt. Passing all well and good... if it's not caught, it ain't a completed pass
Any elf can chuck the ball. Pros can catch it wherever and however. |

If only NoS countered disturbing presence, it'd be perfect. Fear no nurgz. |

I pass with Ogres and Goblins, it's totally under-rated.
Just look at it as +2 SPP/game, on top of everything else you're already doing, just chuck it early rather than late, unless you have High Elves or a good approximation to pull off the long pass over intercepts. |
