An ill considered trifle, i know this isnt strictly a player Nomination, more of an Advert...
SWL's Channel BB! seeks two commentators for the SWL Pro Bowl!
The two commentators will have ofc there own superbox gauranteed seating and in exchange will only have to do a blow by blow broadcast ( ie type darn quick ) in mIRC of the game. this will be in a separate channel too the main swl channel where only the commentators and the invited special comments people will be speaking. others can join and watch the commentary but must not speak during the broadcast.
Post the broadcast they will need to clean it up and post it to Channel BB! so people capable of witty repartee, a thorough knowledge of players stats for the season and career ( so they will need to do their homework peoples ), good typing skills, and an Ability to stay in character should be considering applying for the role.
This is potentially the biggest game in the SWL History, our first ever ProBowl. Sadly we can't offer a trip to Hawaii and $50K for each winner $30K for each loser and a pro bowl ring, but we can offer a shot at immortality!!! You too can say " hey I called that game "
If not sure of whats involved read back over ChannelBB! from the past and you should see a few examples of in game calls. If you think you have what it takes PM myself with your details....
( Note: Regards game callers i am referring to the regular personalities of the SWL, that is Ed Harsh, Bob Borc, Kooshee etc just to name a few. The real reporters. This is the Character you will need to be during the in game commentary. This also ofc assumes you not actually playing. However we will be asking the Coaches and some fo the players ( done by the creators alter egos to give pre and post game statements. )I am intending to make this a huge event for the SWL, and need all of you guys behind me in this ) |

Count me in JK, I'd rather do this than actually play, given its been a bit of a specialty of mine. Irite Stuff will definitely cover the Pro Bowl! |

I could get Lars Nielson off the couch and get him back in the commentary box. |

Well, I doubt they'll get in, but I'll list my Regional players who could possibly be considered:
Bessie Bardot II Regional, Linewoman, Wimmin Who Wear Little. She's actually a zon blitzer, but prolly fits in better as a lino (with guard and all) and not really fast enough for the blitzer job (considering her low AV)
Victoria Silversted Regional, Thrower, Wimmin. Prolly not gonna get picked, seeing as there are much better throwers out there (just about any elven one for example, but I thought she could make a good backup, just in case. |

Good idea JoeKano
@ Smegish
I suggested Bessie Bardot II as well as a Linewoman. Don't worry she'll make it. |

At least I tried to nominate not only my own players :p
On dude I considered but didn't mentioned coz his injury. And coz he is in the same Groupe as my Blitzers

Salem Grevantic - Catcher - Sail City Slashers - Qpool - http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1834439
Picture this: You have 2 highly agile catchers positioned downfield in the open, waiting expectantly for the ball to be thrown to them next turn. What do you want from your 3rd catcher? Another catcher the same as the first 2? Instead, maybe you'd like to be able to move a Mv 8, Ag 4, Blodge, Frenzy, Catch, Claw player downfield also. This way your opponent must either blitz him, and leave your two highly agile catchers standing, hands held out expectantly, OR blitz one of the two agile catchers, and hope that whoever was unfortunate enough to be left standing beside the angry catcher lives through the ensuing orgy of violence. Either way, this opens up more options to the attacking coach than another cliche' high agility catcher might. Also infinitely more useful in defense than your average catcher.
Specialty: Luring unwitting defenders into standing too close to him, then hurting them.
DaLobba - Lineorc - Wanna Beatin - Conference - http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1082179
The perfect linemen should be able to cover multiple positions in case of an injury to a specialist player. Meet DaLobba, the kicking, blocking, tackling, passing Orc. The best kicker I could find, DaLobba has also proven capable of handling himself in the past, and isn't adverse to throwing a pass (or block!) if required. Mr Fixit.
Specialty: Has already proved throughout his career that he is capable of anything.
Claudia Schiffer - Oddball - German Vermin - Conference - http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1630047
Not the biggest or fastest player, but pound for pound the most dangerous in the SWL. No longer suited to linerat duties, Claudia could prove deadly if picked alongside some strong guards to help her.
Specialty: Hurting Linemen & Blitzers, with a little help

Well Well Well ...
I've seen some Orcs from Wanna Beatin in the lists ?!?
This is all very interesting and exciting, but I didn't think any of those players would make any king of grade.
They are MUCH better as a group - they are built for each other.
As for DaLobba on the line : he's a fullback and ball carrier, dammit !
All in all, there are no real standouts in my teams. Hence the lack of suggestions from me.
Good luck to all those deemed worthy of election !

Andy,
Don't sell your Boyz short mate, DaLobba was the best kicker I could find! Now that I've said that, I'm sure someone will unleash their Move 9 Str 5 Ag5 Av8 Blodge Leap Stripball Kicker that I missed somehow
As for him being your fullback usually, think of it like the Rugby League guys who get picked out of position for rep games. Andrew Johns had to play in the 9 jersey for Australia for years prior to him getting the 7, and Jason Smith played in the backrow as a forward for the Bulldogs before QLD picked him as a Five-Eighth. Neccesity breeds invention.
DaLobba is the Travis Norton of the SWL. Capable of most things, while not overly brilliant at any one task. The sort of player Coaches love to have on the bench, just in case...
Then again maybe I'm talking out my arse, it'd explain why my breath is so bad

Some of my lads
Veteran Oddball: Gimp - A dubious looking orc with good enough armour to sit on the line as well as AG5 to pull out that 13 square long bomb in turn 16 to win the game!
Qpool Big Guy Urgat 'Lost his Marbles' Rock'ead - Useful brawler.
With a lack of catchers in the conference nominations, I'll throw my two witch elves in.
Conference Catcher Hopp'n Mc'Cauldron - With MV8 she's got the speed for it, as well as the skills to quickly adopt a more versatile role if needed.
Conference Catcher Hopp'n M'Broomstick - Still fresh, but has the necessary blodge/sidestep to be useful.
Well, quite a short list! Turns out my lads are pretty much all part of some team outfits Some other players that have harassed the lads from Snorriheim immensely that haven't been mentioned yet.
Conference Big Guy: Stinker - While not especially skilled, he's the only beast in the coferences, is uninjured and terribly effective when used properly (compared to the other big guys around).
Conference Thrower: Mannfred von Richtein - While Symm missed him, he's the fastest most capable thrower in the conferences.
Veterans Blitzer/Catcher: Falcon - This one missed by oz too, but with AG5 and leap he can provide a wealth of tactical options that most blitzers/catchers can't threaten with.
Veterans Big Guy Fresian Cowson - Not a huge star, but very adept with that much vaunted blockle combination already! |

I didn't miss him mate, I just felt he was a little inadequate in comparison to Eganra's thrower. Noisy might not have big hand, but he has block & strip ball, I think that makes him a more well-rounded player. Of course, I hope I'm in the minority, and would love to see the SWL Season 8 Silver Arm Winner run out with the rest of these stars, maybe some of their class will rub off on him
