Competition: 145 League NOV-DEC 2024
Attendance: 2,000 Home - 5,000 Away
Weather: Pouring Rain
The debut clash between the Khorne team
145 Very Angry Boys and the Chaos Dwarfs
Brimstone Gulch 145s ended scoreless, with blood and bodies littering the field. The roaring support of 2,000 home fans and the 5,000-strong Chaos Dwarf following in the stands added plenty of fuel for any potential fire within this matchup.
The tone for the game was set right from the opening kick-off, when
Ashton Edoc delivered a brutal foul on
Ghazk Firestorm, which ignited a fierce, no-holds-barred atmosphere. This early display of aggression sparked an immediate, retaliatory escalation, with multiple players quickly abandoning strategy for open brawling. The foul sent fans into a frenzy and sent a clear message that this would be less of a game and more of a brawl. From that point on, the
Brimstone Gulch 145s seemed more intent on delivering hits than playing for points, leading to an all-out war of attrition that ultimately defined the match.
The match devolved into a bloody grind in the centre of the pitch, with the home team notably suffering multiple injuries. Although neither side managed to score, the game lived up to its expectation of an all-out brawl. Fans left with plenty of tales of carnage but not a single touchdown to celebrate.
Home MVP: Jesse Cydare the Bloodseeker
Away MVP: Ghazk Firestorm the Chaos Dwarf Flamesmith
Fan MVP: Grizzik Greenhand the Hobgoblin Lineman
Whilst some fans agree with the official decision that
Ghazk Firestorm was the game MVP, there are prominent calls for
Vorzag Stormstrider or
Grizzik Greenhand to have had the award.
Grizzik Greenhand the Hobgoblin had more success obtaining the balls than anyone else during the game and managed to seriously injure
Ashton Annalyn the bloodspawn, causing them to have hindered movement which the fans considered an impressive feat. Additionally
Grizzik Greenhand also fouled the ever-present
Rowan Kenobi the Khorngor during the final whistle, knocking them unconcious, much to the elation of the away supporters.
