TSL draft league and MLR 7s is still humming along

The TSL still needs 2 more players to hit our 8 team soft cap. Easter weekend is the first time that our weekly deadlines have been stretched with only 1 forfeit likely to occur by the end of the deadline. The Broken Nose Nose Breakers have emerged in the weaker Columbo South Division, but they did so by krump'n the competition. The Myrmidian North Division is still led slightly by my Pavona Mage Knights, but the Trantio Red Luster are inches away from overtaking my team; frankly they drafted a better team in my opinion so they likely will. The North division has bullied the South, but after we collect data across three seasons we will reorganize based chiefly on overall standings to promote equality across these divisions. At this time, I am surprised about how much parity there is in the league, because 4/6 are built strongly in the manner that most human draft league teams are built, but it is the riskier teams like the Mage Knights and Red Luster that have risen, one with weapons the other with swarming. The standings are still wide open, because the last two opponents for all teams are their divisional rivals.
The MLR is one of two 7s leagues besides the human only DLE College 7s (also good fun). The Diamanterra Dodgers are the absolute cream of the crop at this time. During this first season the only way to be draft eligible is if you are a territorial team i.e. if you coach in the TSL and this is your 7s team you get a free pick if you like from your 7s team or if you have 4 skills. This will change to 3 next season. I will NOT wipe injuries off of these players because there is a built in way to heal them in the TSL. However, its been a lot of zany fun thus far. Players will have an opportunity to change their team type based on player typology before season 2 so thankfully if an expirement did not work you can always try again with Lizardmen or delves next season!
We will soon be recruiting for our sister leagues. There will be an agility elf based draft league and a bash heavy power running draft league. The Ulthuan First League (UFL) is the first blood bowl league ever established, but the rise of the Tilean Super League has led the Phoenix King to consolidate elf leagues into a more competitive product. The rise of the TSL and UFL has caused for more transit off the coast of Araby. The Arabyan Football League developed organically as these ties grew between those other two leagues. The Tilean city states' ability to fund teams has generated interest in blood bowl across the world. The TSL is all about city state bragging rights, the UFL for the honor bestowed by the Phoenix King and the AFL to the strongest.
