Curse of the fifth saurus
I have a rather decent lizardman team, Rotten Scales, in the blackbox. It's not great but it doesn't get its ass handed to it too much (18/14/23) and I'm quite fond of it. If only it wasn't cursed...
During the history of 55 games, I've never had more than 4 sauruses (saurii?) with a skill at the same time. Every time I've had four sauruses with a skill, one has died (or gained injury that has gotten them fired) before a fifth saurus has gained a skill.
I have stars such as S. Adams, Jr., Jr. who has 22 games behind him, 126 block (most of which 2 dice), no MVPs and just 1 casualty.
Recently, I got my hopes up when I realized that I have 4 sauruses with skills and 2 sauruses at 2 SPP (thus, 1 MVP or two casualties away from skill). Needless to say, neither one gained any more SPP before A. Volta (my oldest player, 52 games under his belt) retired due to a permanent injury.
It's not that I waste apotecharies or anything (I never use him if it's not permanent injury to a player with more than a couple of SPPs), it's just... meh.
It's my dream to one day see 5 sauruses with a skill at the same time but I wouldn't bet any money on seeing that before I break the limit of 100 games.

for future reference, never let your skinks have more skills than your saurus in a division like blackbox, or you will find life very tough.

I'd keep a -ma skilled saurus, he'll be more useful than a rookie. I'd even be tempted by -av as well until you get 5 other sauri to at least block.

Try to score with your saurus. It is a great way to get skills :) On my black box lizard team the still active players the saurus have scored almost twice as much as the skinks. Whent all the saurus have block then the skinks can start to score.

you've got 4 saurus-skills yet are playing with 1560 TV
really, you want all your SPP on saurus.
fire all the skinks and get 4 rookie ones
then you'd be at 1260 and your team would be a lot stronger, and the saurus could develop in far greater safety

You should take care what you are wishing, if you have more than 4 skilled saurus in the team, you will have to put at least 2 of them on the los and then double the propability for at least 1 skilled saurus to die.
