Bleakwood Haunters 4 v 0 Grimbonian Giantz

Well the pre mactch speeches might have been a pre-cursor to this disaster with Bakadon admitting this was the one game he didn't like the look of.

And Kick-off, Haunters holding a 2FAME advantage in the crowd, a riot and 1 lost turn (bah, their fans limiting my TD scoring amount, but should be able to get 1TD surely in my receiving half still!). The Orcs looked ready for this, ready to punch these agility freaks in the face from the off. 2 foul appearances on the LoS sent shivers down Bakadons spine in the blizzard as the Orcs didn't really punch anyone in the face, hindered by the snowy winds. But then Urgoth was heard starting his chainsaw successfully, surely he was destined to turn this snow red today..



Only with his own blood.... He doesnt have a great game record for the Giantz bless him.

The Haunters dodged and lept into position rather easily and the Orcs still failed to land a meaningful cas early on but with ball in hand and some good positioning it was all to play for

But oh oh, that noise of a sci fi lazer beam (aka Hyponotic Gaze) Im sure we studied Immanuels teamsheet looking closely for targets but we obviously missed this freak skill out of the analysis....




And BAM, perfectly executed and delicately catching the ball in the sacking, how elegant. But away from his support surely the Greenskins would now find their POWing form 4 turns in. We havent heard how Varag Ghoulchewers getting on, hes been on the quiet so far (dam inducements)

The Orcs sensed a good pounding to get the ball back and here they went. Varag focused and charged fora 3 dice smash



and 2 more foul apearances made the Greenskins look embarassed, Bakadon was pulling what little hair he has left these days out. Looks like a TD conceded on receiving the ball in 3 turns...

But the Haunters, the targets did their thing leaping as the Greenskins looked hopeless and dancing away into the blizzard.



Could any damage be done on the stall,



only a KO just before skipping off for the opening TD for the Haunters to lead 1-0.

Kick off and much better for the Greens, KOing one of the Haunters and then collecting the ball ready to strike. But it was as though Jesus had appeared and the red sea parted, with that horrible Haunting Gaze laser beam noise, then a simple block and it appeared defensive positioning was poor as the way was open once again for a ball sacking



Got him again. And then the Haunters dash through the sea and collect the ball. But again Bakadon looked slightly confident of his defense but after a sidestepped bang gifted the ball back to the Haunters support player it looked like it might be one of those games. But a good follow up and it looked like the Giantz might be getting started with their first cas spilled. Surely the ball will be safe between teh BOBs



And then that "lazer" noise again and Hypnotic Gaze operates again



And again these agility freaks dance around, Blitz Stab and killed a BOB but thank Nuffle, Im surprised the apothecary worked, best player for the Giantz this half! and bam the Haunters come away with the ball

and run away for a simple TD on the stroke of halftime


OW 2-0 in the Giantz receiving half....

2nd half

Things didnt start too badly for the Giantz with no early ground being given either way. Then one of those feared things when you fail a dodge (and die) to give the Giantz early numerical advantage in this half, for a second the crowd thought Varag was the cause, but it wasnt one of his 11 blocks (with no cas), and with their speed the ball was moved across the park as Bakadon set up solid defenses



But with the speed of movement the Giantz were struggling to keep up defensive formation but doing well, although once again Nuffle appeared to want more TDs so with a Blitz casulty, a Hyponitc Gaze lazer noise, and a simple stroll in



The Haunters were putting the Giantz to the sword. Dam that Lazer sound Hypnotic Gaze


So the 4th quarter, surely this would favour the Giantz



By the time the ball had been recovered and attempted to rejoin half his stunned team they were just about standing up and another 2 foul appearances and block turned into wrestle really got in the way of this defense.



Needless to say the Haunters capitalised and pounced straight onto the ball carrier I think making it the 4th sacking this game (work on that in training!)



And then some more fights in the Giantz half as both teams wouldnt give up in this game. The Giantz got the ball but again got 1d blitzed down and with that the random bounce presented the ball rather nicely for the 4-0



4-0 what a cracker of a game. Thanks for making it enjoyable some how Immanuel with the chat at least and the active crowd.

After the game the Greenskinz looked shell shocked not really sure what had occured. We thought they did ok positioning but a combo of critical dice roles and such just made it even more hard work in the snow. Immanuel was seen smiling in shock already working oh their latest artwork to publish the regions position over the Eastern Steppes and Mountains of Mourne.

Bakadon was seen screaming at Grugen Gashnak, telling him he'll have to train so much harder for the next 2 games. His response "Fak off Guvnor", then proceeded to getting some dice out of his pocket before rolling 2D6 on the floor getting a double 6 "Theres ma training boss"

Must find a better format for these reports, start losing patience by the end.
