My UI Experience
Well gang, the Cinderella story has ended. This was my first open tournament on Fumbbl and it was a very different experience that the 1 offs or even the league games I play. Thanks to everyone who helps put together these tournys and the coaches I played against. You made it fun. Now on to the analysis:

https://www.fumbbl.com/p/match?id=3890978

This is the game that ended the Randylions UI Brass Latern run. The first half went as well as I could have hoped, surviving into the second half with numbers and a 1-0. Then I made a pretty big blunder halfway through when I attempted to clear the loose ball free of a pest and rerolled bothdown/push into double skull. Dom was able to scoop and run and tie the game 1-1. OT, I set up poorly, but the numbers were pretty bad at that point and I was turned over and Dominik went on for the win.

My request is twofold: I'd like to learn from this game what I can. Asides from 'Never reroll a push', should I have taken the chance on a 4+ pickup, with reroll, to ice the game? Or just kept 2 TZs on the ball and make him do the heavy lifting? And what do you do with this battered team? https://www.fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=770442 Only 4 players do NOT have a perm of some kind. Two AG5 beastmen have been fun, but the MA5 is really starting to bug me. Fire everyone and attempt a rebuild? Would have been a lot easier before EM came along.

Anyway, I appreciate any/all comments, and thanks again to my opponents and tournament directors

Cheers

I'd amend that to "never reroll a push, except if it's the ball carrier and you're not assured of a second chance."

And 4+ with a reroll is 75%, so I would definitely take that chance when the game is in the balance.

As for the team, I would go for the rebuild.

Fire them in stages - Blayde, Fungi and Draxle immediately, Xerrtex once you have another Sure Hands player, and the other injured players as money permits replacing them.
