A time for action
As the deadline for the millionth match approached there was question as to whether we’d make it. So many coaches were doing their best to get this done and I wanted to be a part of helping this site reaching its goal.

I’ve never been a fan of 1v1 or 2v2. It’s not what “I” believed was what made Blood Bowl fun. But playing 2-3 games a day didn’t seem like much of a help to reach the millionth match. Playing 8-10 games a day…. Well that did. The saying every vote counts gave me some motivation to try and help Fumbbl reach its goal.

So starting with about 3 weeks remaining in the deadline I began 1v1 play and on the last two days I would start playing 2v2. I really thought it would come down to the final hour as to whether or not we’d make it. So wanting to do my part and of course enjoy the day to the fullest I took the day off so I could get as much time in as possible.

128 1v1 games and 40 2v2 games played over the final three weeks, I’m glad to have been a part of Fummbl’s one million matches.

To my surprise during my last match of the birthday I received a message from Christer. Shortly into that he asked if I knew that I had played 50 matches today? I thought about it and it really hadn’t crossed my mind how many I had played. I knew my wife was mad at me for being on the computer all day but that wasn’t anything-new right? People asked me a few times during the day about how many games I played but I didn’t believe it was 50…

Was a fun day and a great accomplishment to reach. Thanks so much to Christer and the Admins for providing this great site for everyone to be a part of!!! And great job everyone who put in that extra effort to get in the million matches.
