#13 Sshripp't – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
Whatever possessed the Sarawaks' coach last night, he evidently considered it a nifty idea for a team of seven skinks and three Sauri to go toe-to-toe with a full roster of Dwarfs.

Sacrifices have already been made in gratitude for the survival of all team members.

Due to a misunderstanding, the Sarawaks elected to receive for the first drive. For the first time, the coach had designated some of the more experienced and talented players, Sslicker and Sstythil, for respectively returning and half-back positions. They seemed well trained for these tasks, and all was going well until little Sshripp't, who had run forward past the flank players in the Kleingaertner wide zone, was surprised by a maniacal block from the center Trollslayer Sämmy Sackbeißer. Sshripp't was hit forcefully in the neck, and although the skink shaman tried his best to set it right, it looks like the smashed collarbone will continue to impair Sshripp't permanently. A serious setback for the Sarawaks already.

Still, half-back Sstythil rushed through the opening smashed by the Sauri, and it was only through the marvellous effort of discipline on behalf of runner Achim Achselschweiß that a successful blitz was managed, stunning Sstythil. This could have been the end of the Lizard offense, but before the Dwarfs could recover the ball, Sslicker saw his opportunity to dodge between two blitzers and a runner, pick up the thrown-in ball, and single-handedly blitz Achim onto his back. But the danger was not over yet, and the Sarawaks fans held their breath as three Dwarfs descended upon Sslicker in a joint blitz led by the second runner. By a staggering stroke of luck, he managed both to dodge away and to rush the last pace to the endzone.

Although this didn't happen before Saurus Ssorgh once again saw fit to exact some vengeance on a random Longbeard and landed a smack in the dwarf breast, smashing his collarbone in turn. The Dwarf apothecary was more effective with these injuries than the skink shaman, however, and Ottmar Günther could remain on the pitch.

Midway was reached in the first half. On the following kickoff, Ssorgh was knocked out early. Debutante Sskwizz't and Ssuarh both managed to mark the ball-carrying runner Karl Luis, but in an attempt to reinforce the screen, Ssrikk't was heavily tackled by Longbeards Unkraut and Bierbauch and had to receive nursing for the remainder of the game.

After Luis had blitzed away Sskwizz't, he still needed to escape with the ball from the two Lizards. They dutifully dragged him down, however, and Sskwizz't could possibly have recovered the ball if only Ssuarh had blocked the dwarf in front of him instead of the nagging, annoying runner at his back. As it were, blitzer Hodenstoß caught hold of the skink just as he was moving to pick up the ball, and brought him very painfully down. Out for the rest of the match.

A last-minute, but well orchestrated attempt to bring the ball into the Sarawaks' end zone was nearly successful; only the inability of the longbeard Paule Pubsarch to catch a quick pass from Luis prevented the score from being tied at half time.

There is little to say about the first drive of the second half; it was brilliantly coached, a touchback awarded. Worthy of note, perhaps, was the daredevil ball-retrieving blitz attempt by Sstrith'l, whereupon his jaw was skillfully broken by Karl Luis.

Two more skinks were put out of play before the Dwarf touchdown, and the Sarawaks started the last drive with 3 Sauri and Sshakk't the skink. When said skink couldn't get a grip on the ball, the backfield was overtaken by running Dwarfs, and Sshakk't escaped with the ball to the line of scrimmage only to receive a stunning blitz by Longbeard Ottmar Günther. This sealed the score as far as the Sarawaks were concerned; the Dwarfs could possibly have made a deciding touchdown if they had tried a similar passing play as earlier in the half.

Be that as it may, the Sarawaks are not unhappy with the outcome of the match, and give all their respect and honor to die Kleingaertner and their coach.
