“it was a great game thanks the dice realy ad my back and i controlled my greed a bit. several ogre blocks i gave up knowing it would end in horible feild positioning. apparently i am learning something lol thanks for the game and hope to play you again sometime soon.”
“The Gypsies had a plan for this game: survive it and make enough money to hire and Orge for the upcoming UMT Tournament they had entered.
In that regards, it was a success.
But it was an awful game for the Gypsies. Plagued by bad luck and bad calls from Coach Ryce, the 'Dudes From Dark Water' spent most of the game trying to figure out which way they were supposed to be running. For being the new squad's tenth game, an observer might have thought it was their first.
At one point, Ben Brimstone was knocked out of bounds by a halfling. I mean, really.
Late in the second half, Gregg Ironboot managed to run the ball in for the Gypsies' only point for the game. Talon Frontman was clobbered by the dwarf Ardus and, despite winning MVP for the beating, he will be sitting out the Gypsies first Tournament game.
Still, mission completed. In fact, the rumor is Coach Ryce got an advance on the game payments and left during the first half to go hire Ogre bruiser, Grimble Gromble. Ryce denies leaving the game and claims that the reason he wasn't moving was that he was deep in thought- not that he had replaced himself with a life-sized cardboard cut-out! The crowd didn't buy it though, and left in a foul mood...
I was definitely outplayed. Well done Nexus! That makes us 1-1 for games against the New Gypsies. When's the tie breaker?”
