“The Greenfield Crush took to the pitch for the last time before they would play in the Championships of the Blitz Invitational. They earned a massive 22 points towards the Blitz Invitational and have taken the lead in the group by 19 points. They have raised the bar which everyone else has to beat in order to get good seeding.

Coach Oblitzamanger has played the Luchalflings before with his Vampires, Shadow Bite. However, the flings won 2 - 1 due to +ag flings and an untimely interception. The Orcs beat them down whereas the Vampires lost, thus proving who the better team is, which is why the Orcs have taken over first place from the Bite. However, coach Oblitzamanger just wanted revenge for his only loss to halflings. And he got it...

The Crush recieved the ball first. Weezle, a lineorc, made a completion to Blitzer Intrad to earn him 1 SPP. This meant he learned Block after the game. They then made a cage around Intrad as Zudd, the team's troll, badly hurt a fling on the Line of Scrimage, between two treemen. One of the treemen was knocked down by Zudd on his team's turn, causing a turnover to take place. The Crush then formed a tighter cage around Intrad and clashed head on with the line fo Flings as the other treeman was knocked down by Zudd and Ponky, the team's only available goblin, ran towards the endzone.

At this time, the Flings knew they were not going to stop the Orcs and ran out of the way towards the few stranded Orcs. they threatened to foul and hurt them, especially Ponky, if the Orcs did not score quickly. The blackmail worked as the Orcs didn't stall and scored within two more turns by handing the ball off to Ojalan in the endzone. Score: 1 - 0.

A failed pick up in the backfield allowed the Crush to blitz the flings. When they finally did pick it up, the ballcarrier failed a gfi to hand off and stunned himself. Ogrand raced to pick it up and move clear of everyone, but he was knocked down by three flings ganging up on him. Despite this, he bounced back up to stun one of his attackers after help had arrived, and Fuggap picked up the loose ball. Then, a key play was made. Rosco, the annoying fling which helped defeat Shadow Bite last time was badly hurt by Portouy, a Black Orc Blocker, who was in turn badly hurt by Rosco. Although the Crush would miss his strength, the Luchalflings would greatly miss their +ag fling as well as coach fabik's favorite player. This meant that all the +ag flings were out of the game, seriously reducing the chances they had to come back and tie or win.

After that, there was nothing the flings could do to prevent Fuggap from walking the ball in. The last turn, Cico, who had already been killed and saved by the apothecary, was badly hurt because he was fummbled by a treeman in an attempt to score back before halftime. Halftime score: 2 - 0.

But on the first turn of the second half, Peppo was thrown clear over the heads of the Orcs and he ran in for the one turn TTM touchdown. But it was not a good move, as now the Orcs would have possesion and the lead for 8 of their own turns.

Kabbash, another Black Orc Blocker, got the ball on a touchback. The team formed a cage around him and since the flings never had more than 11 players the whole game, they didn't have enough manpower to stop it. Even with Zudd, Kimi, and Lintel, the third Black Orc Blocker, being abandoned, the team still managed to keep on going.

The game was marred however, as Corteccione, a treeman, blocked Kimi, a lineorc. Kimi smashed his knee whilst only falling prone himself. This, although a monumental acheivement by seriously injuring a treeman, was sadening as the treemen are the only power the flings have. Coach Oblitzamanger would have liked him to be badly hurt, but deep inside, he feels he got his revenge for the loss he suffered at their hands.

Fouls from both sides resulted in a KO for each as on the fifth turn, the Crush scored it's thrid and final touchdown. At the end, after the Crush rushed the flings and popped the ball loose, Fuggap could have scored again, but he failed the pickup, and thus, the game ended 3 - 1, but not without Paladine and Ponky both going down, with fatal results for the latter, but saved by the apothecary.

We got this statement from coach Oblitzamanger after the match:

"I want to thank coach fabik for another great and enjoyable match. I got my revenge allright. I feel good about this victory, for even though they had more luck, through pure skill and coaching ability we won.

"I think this team is definately ready for the Championships of the Blitz Invitationals. Their TS is really high and they have a full roster. At the moment, this team has to be the favorite."

He then ran off to make a sacrifice to Nuffle right there on the pitch. We also heard from a few of the players themselves. Ponky told us, "I did't knows what's dones. It was the ends of the games, I was tireds, and I just fell asleeps... I wokes up and coaches was theres over mes. He says I dies and nows I lives. Alls I remebers is Side Stepping little grots..."

Portouy said to us in relatively good english, "I hurt Rosco 'cause coach tells me so. He says, 'Rosco 's evil. Rosco wants you take a bath.' So I hurts him, even though he hurts me back."

Zudd, the Troll who learned Guard after earning the MVP told us, "Smaaaaaash, grieeeeeeend, puuuuuuuuuunch." He was then unable to say anymorea as he was quite caught up in picking his nose.

Finally, Intrad, who is co-captain along with Ogrand, told us in good english, "We played good. We made cages around the team mates and they scored. The little grot [Ponky] was useless and the trainer had to save him from death. I don't think he should have been saved...

"We are ready to smash whoever we play in the Blitz Invitationals!"”
