The Adepts truged off the field in dissapointment, as their hopes for another title were dashed by a gang of lifeless bodies, and one pesky dog....

Despite being heavy favourites the Adepts came into the game undermanned as a nasty virus ran through some of their premier players, and another had an incident involving a white bronco 4wd.....

Luck and bad blocking by the opposition saw the Adepts com into the halftime break leading by 1. Then the furry one scampered in when the team failed to adequatly surround him.

With the ball in hand(hoof), SuperBull Mindful was a few strides from socring when that slippery werewolf came out of nowehere and somehow forced him into the crowd. The ball popped up into the middle of the picht and the ensuing scrum saw Richie run away with the ball. An attempted last second comeback was squashed by lack of numbers and the Adepts were dealth their second loss of the season.

Twhanloes:

3pts - Zargithis: TD scorer and stopper, wolves are the team for necro's and this one is no exception.
2pts - Ritchie: He contoleed the ball for the Horros extremely well and scored the clintcher
1pt - Irite Stuff: Excpetional penmanship and a few decent block

Holy shemoly how did we get up?!?

Started out nicely, with a few of the Adepts coming down with a mystery virus, being fingered for crimes they didn't commit, and Tetsugyu had a case of the stupids!

Then it all seemed to go to water, as the Heroes struggled to knock their more fancied opponents down. The Adepts struck first in a canter, and it looked as though this might be another dismal effort from the Heroes. The remainder of the half saw a continuation of the uninspired bowl, with the sole exception of Irite Stuff doing his most successful Achey Breaky Heart dance to date!

Then, as seems to be the trend for the last few games, the Heroes came storming back in the second half! A quick score on a flanking move caught the Adepts by surprise.

The Adepts then seemed to be back in control, with Bull Mountain Tetsyugu Mindful holding the ball deep in the Heroes backfield, almost able to spit into the endzone. There was no-one in the team who could match him for strength, but Zargithis psyched himself and went for it, hoping to push the big bastard over the sideline! We'd attempted this sort of play on the Adepts first drive, but had fallen just short.

The crowd went silent, and BAM! all the practice pushing paid off, as Zargithis smashed him into the crowd, where Mindful was promptly escorted to the casualty box with a bad case of shock to go with his stupids!

From there, the Heroes proceeded to take the game and make it their own, marching to glory and claiming the biggest upset of the season!

Twahnlows:

3 points - Ino Thought - In a game where we had a lot of trouble rolling anything above a push, this guy was an absolute nightmare.

2 points - Disciple Shariputra - this big lugs ability to be everywhere we didn't want him caused us a lot of difficulties trying to free up our players with blocking.

1 point - Lung-T'an - completed his ballhandling duties with nonchalant aplomb
