“As the coach had feared, this game turned out to be a maimfest for the dwarves. At first the Sluggers did their best to counter the dwarven assault, and managed to keep them from scoring during the first half. In the second half, when the dwarves had injured or knocked out more than half of the human team, they managed to blitz the ball carrier (injuring him while at it) and make a run for the winning touchdown. Finaly there was only five of the Sluggers still standing; a mottled crew of one blitzer two lineman, one catcher and one thrower.
The only casualty for the sluggers were comitted by their big guy Sluggo, who later got overwhelmed by a multitude of dwarfs who smashed him up so bad he'll miss the next match.
It looks like the Sigmarite Sluggers has been caught in a spiral of injuries, from which they might never recover. Will this be the end of the once proud team of religious fundamentalists?”

After an overwhelming first half, which sadly didn't see the Miners opener, was followed by a rock hard defensive effort by the dwarves. An important block was made to get the ball carrier down and after that the dwarves made their chance count.
