Good Evening Sports fans, Tonight, we bring you highlights from the first match of the Mr Whippy's Emporium Regional League XV, the Beatnick Bashers vs. the Tasmanian Rangers, right Bob?

Thats right Jim, now, the Tasmanian Rangers are the first team we've seen from the Apple Isle competing at SWL League level, and tonight they played surprisingly well.

Initially it looked like we were going to be in for a hell of a match, when several members of the Tasmanian Rangers were taken out of the equation early, Including their Captain, the world renowned axeman, David Foster.

Despite being outnumbered and outmuscled for the entire match, the Tasmanian Rangers were able to control themselves well despite the loss of their team captain from the game, and they played a strong damage-control match in order to keep the result to a tie. In the dying seconds the match could have gone to the Beatnick Bashers, but their goblin, who was to be thrown in a playerfrow tactic, chickened out at the last second after spying a couple of the Rangers waiting for him. Consequently he crashed back to earth, sending the ball bobbling away and no player could retrieve it before the final whistle.

There were no major injuries from this match, and all players from both teams will be ready to face off in the next round. The Beatnick Bashers will go on to face KellyLUVSdaElf, a team of humans, whilst the Tasmanian Rangers will continue to represent their isle in an all-elf match against the High Elf team of the Killilith Dragons.

Twahnlow votes:

3 - Rick : For causing two very early KO's that led to my intial player deficit.

2 - Jr: For being a) the first Bashers' scorer, and one of the most tactically used goblins I have seen.

1 - Bobby Rea - for causing the first injury the Rangers copped during this match.
