“After a good first round win the Dragons were confident going into this match - reltaicely even teams, the Dragons thought that a good steady start should allow for the AV difference to slowly take effect as the game wore on.
Alas - it was not to be. On the way to the match one of the players accidentaly trod on the tail of a Dark Elf sorcer and the ensuing curse lead to a dismal team performance.
At 1-0 down, with a reltively easy TD in sight, a double 1 saw the ball dropped in an exposed position leading to the Tassie second TD.
At 2-1 down, with a protected catcher needing only to pickup the ball for a certain 2nd TD, the old doule 1's saw him fumble it....
Throw into the mix that the Elves managed 8 1 dice blocks before seeing a skull come up meant that this was a very frustrating game for the Coach.
Obviously, any little bit of bad luck was expertly turned into points by the Rangers who showed themselves capable not only of the beautiful game; but the rough stuff as requied as well.
The High Elves need to head back to camp, buy the sorcer a new cat, and await the next round.

2 - David Foster - a massive 11 blocks, many succesful 1 dicers. Great player for the future - keep an eye on this one.
1. Jim "Piglet" Bacon - a Fatality, a TD and 6 blocks - great al round game. Sure to rack up plenty of SPP over the course of the season.

Tonight saw the second outing of the Tasmanian Rangers, this time facing the High Elves of the Killilith Dragons team.
While the gobbo refused to put odds on either team taking the match, because they were so close, the Tasmanian Rangers managed to take out the match quite easily, scoring 4 touchdowns to the Dragons' 1.
With a strong set of linemen and some skilled blocking by the team's blitzers, a very quick first touchdown allowed the rangers to take an early lead. while the killilith dragons scored quickly themselves, they put the Rangers into their element... playing with a distinct numbers disadvantage.
The Rangers proceeded to play hard, scoring a further three touchdowns and managing to kill the Dragons' Lineman, Iccior Llelehr. In retaliation, Truganini copped a beating at the hands of Nacroac the Westerling, and later died of his injuries.
In a post match interview, Rangers' coach commended the Killilith Dragons' coach for his tenacity, and expressed his regret at having killed an opposing player. When asked about the funeral arrangements for Tuganini, coach Lelruthus simply smiled and said:
"The remains of Truganini have been returned to his family. We understand that they will be burying him in their traditional manner. As for replacing him, that will come soon."
