“Greed and bad luck cost me this game.

Four handicaps were:

The Amazons started with the ball and had commanding position. They went for a score with their MA9 Catcher only to have her drop the ball and it went flying upfield where a High Elf caught it and the Amazons eventually conceded the TD.

A chain push one turn TD was on the cards, helped by a Quick Snap to give the Amazons a chance to tie. The push worked perfectly and the Amazons just needed two GFI and two 4+ dodges with Dodge and Tearm RRs to equalise.

The first dodge however was a 1 and 2 and the Catcher was badly hurt!

Second half, the Amazons had some horrid luck on offence, rerolling a 2 dice block into double skulls. The High Elves then got their own bad roll and gave the Amazons a second chance.

The Amaxons stole the ball, only to roll snake eyes on a 2+ pass to get it to safety!!!

The High Elves were unable to recover the ball and the Amazons had another chance, but then failed the 3+ sure hands pick up.

The High Elves recovered the ball to score once more.

What a funny game. Very lopsided. I was in total control first half, but then decided to try and score with a hand off to AG3 with Catch instead of running in the TD. That cost me big as that eventually led to a turnover TD. All the rolls came up right for my oopponent after that as he got the ball deep, then recovered it again after I knocked it down and swung it out wide. I put a blodge tackle sidestepper on the scorer, but he got a Pow on two dice and didn't need a 2+ dodge in the end to take the lead.

Second half, the dice were cruel once more to give deny me the chance to level the scores.

Mind you my opponent played a very good game, but I had a few too many bad rolls at critical times to fall not one, but two TDs behind and it was just academic SPP farming after that.

Anyways, I wish my opponent a good recovery and welcome a rematch sometime.”
