#5 Rabid_Bogscum – Dead (RIP)
#8 Miyuso – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#8 Miyuso – Smashed Knee (NI)
I did my best to give the Lizzies a challenge, but good coaching and decent luck on the part Artaxerxes were enough to see them enjoy a comfortable win.

Rising stars:

Ballcrusher - 3 points - He had two TDs. That by itself is enough to win or draw most games. Whatever else he did, he carried the ball over the line - Superb Job.

Ball Juggler - 2 points - I like scorers better than hurters, and this lizard played with more flair than his other scoring teammate. Well done.

Balldrinker Two - 1 point - I don't know why he likes to drink 2 balls at a time, but he scored a TD. Hooray for him!

SWL 16 – Game 2

A tough game was expected for the rookie Dark Elves in Conference, and this second game didn’t disappoint the prophets of doom (refer to Fool’s posts in the SWL forum ;).

The game kicked off with Fool's Tools brewing up some Smelling Salts, while Toonie snuck on some knuckledusters. The confident Fossils started to bicker amongst themselves about who was the greatest, and ball carrying duo Balljuggler and Balldrinker II thought they were the greatest. Of course any observer with a bit of nous knows that Vrool is the greatest, but they didn’t seem to register that.

Fool’s Tools won the toss an elected to receive. The weather changed to very sunny which non-throwing lizards just love. The start was less than ideal for the Tools, with WE Longshanks fluffing the first block of the game and handing the initiative to the Fossils. Ozjesting then suffered the indignity of being blitzed by a skink (Ballnasher), loosing the ball and seeing Balldrinker II scoop it up and score.

The Tools crowd were ropable, and as the 2nd kick-off was in the air they recklessly invaded the pitch, taking down not only villian Ballnasher and Vrool, but their own Drokmar and Oldbugman. A steady and conventional shortpass and handoff running TD in two turns from the Tools righted the ship at 1-1.

The Fossils returned with sloppy ball handling display. Initial thoughts of a rookie skink scoring where soon shelved an Balljuggler stepped in to score before half time.

The second half went more to plan for the Fossils, until DaemoniicLazoth dodged into 3 tacklezones and blitzed the ball free from Ballcrusher. The Fossils replied by placing him in the Crowd with his fans, and repeated the process with Drokmar (who stayed there for the game insisting she was injured). Toonie then laid a retaliatory blitz on Balljuggler, sending him out of this and next game. Eventually ballcrusher scored.

The wether then changed from the blinding sun into a blizzard. The Tools started well with Ozjesting feeding the ball to DaemonicLazoth to run into a deep sideline cage. Coach ArtaXerxes called on old faithful (Vrool) to bust the cage by introducing DaemonicLazoth to the crowd. The Tools fans assisted as much as the could by placing the ball 1 square short of their endzone. Unfortunately for the Tools, the skinks were able fallback, secure the ball and run it out for a fouth TD.

Thanks for the game and good humour Fool, in trying circumstances.
