I've played Snorri a bunch of times, and although i have managed to beat him on occasion he's a great coach and it's always a challenge. This game he coached well and had a much better squad. These Dark Elves are SWL legends and I'm sure we'll see the Old Gaffer hoist the Prem Trophy again sooner than later.

Players of the match:

Gothiq'ne Mortika - 3 points - This is a guy clearly in need of a nickname. Moved the ball down the field and scored. Active on D as well. Nice match.

Phantom Navigator - 2 points - the QB, he enabled his team time and time again. Good job.

Frost Warden - 1 point - Always pushing and shoving. A real pain in the ass. Just what his coach wanted. Excellent work.

With 120k in the bank, a 13th player would have been a treat. But for some nonsensical reason, the lads decided to buy a reroll for chunky's ogres, only to have officialdom turn it down and force them to add a sixth reroll to their own roster.

Going into the game, 12 Vanguarders vs 9 Tools. A whopping 78TS difference and what assuredly should have been an easy match. The handicaps were also rather friendly for once. Still, nuffle seems to make sure there' s no such thing as an easy game.

A palmed coin and a 2nd half perfect defence ensured the Tools were never going to be prone to some early drive punishment. And some early casualties and ko's evened out the numbers so that the Vanguard had to play a ball game. In the end the scoreboard ran away, but not before some pressure moments had to be played out. Even Twilight Veil's icy calm cracked this game as he clustered a relatively easy but critical dodge to get the stolen ball to safety.

With illegal drugs he was a bit of a handful. Even managed to foil a crowdpush attempt by taking a professional dive on the sideline.

2 votes: Drokmar
Foiled the early 2nd half attempt to get an advantage by also taking a professional dive on a crowdpush.

1 vote: Symmetrical
Caused Twilight to embarrassingly trip with all the flair of a grizzled old zombie.
