#10 Myrymma – Dead (RIP)
Actually I never felt as sorry for eleminating an opponent from a qualifier, simply due to the fact I´d love to see Vampires in a Major. In your next attempt I will cheer for your team, just make sure, I don´t have to try to stop you once more... ;-)

Also, this was the closest one of the 3 qualifiers I won so far (well, this WO II qualifiers). The Vampires did fight amazingly, and it was only due to all the casualties my Elves, and especially my Dirty Player Helleenae, were able to deal in second half.

It didn´t start too well for me with Virus striking (again, as in 1st game) and Bribe the Ref 2. So, Elves starting with only 11 players, and the Vamps a free go on fouling.

As Gatts wrote, the first half was his. I failed 2 Blitzes on his Ballcarrier and succeeded on the third, but snakes prevented that I picked up the ball and could throw it to my ST4 witch deep in his side. So, the Vampires could reclaim the ball, and run for the TD.
There were weird turn over on both sides. Especially annoying my snakes on that pick up, but also his double skulls after he successfully used Pro to reroll double push back (happened in 2nd half once more...).

Things didn´t look too good for us since there were only 10 Elves left to face the five Vampires and 6 Thralls, and also the wizard was still there to be used. My offence was not too easy due to this, and I concentrated on not allowing a lightning bolt reach my ballcarrier (AG5 Elf, to make it as safe as possible). After his failed Blitz I could run the ball deep and stall, engaged in a fouling contest, which, obviously, we and, expecially Helleenae, won. I do remember at least one cas from a crowd surf, 4 were caused by blocks, this means that 4 or 5 casualties were caused by the 5 fouls. The first 2 BHs on Vampires were regenerated, the following 2 were not. In the middle of second half I decided to bring this into OT, in the hope to injure even more players and make them use some rerolls. While the first succeeded, the second did not.

When the game went into OT at 1:1, both teams still had 3 rerolls (or was it 4 for me?). Quick snap, ball caught from kick off, no failed OFAB rolls, and nice dodges ensured the TD in turn 2. With still the wizard to use. So I decided to run a handful of possible receivers deep and keep my safe throw Thrower in the backfield, under the protection of my ST4 Blitzer. This was when the Vampires succeeded the 1d Blitz on my Ballcarrier (nice move, I have to admit, which I hoped would fail some way [1 OFAB, 4 gfi, 1 Hypnotic Gaze and the 1d Block]). Luckily my Thrower was not stunned and the ball scattered onto the best possible square, so that I picked it up and threw it forward (also not bad, 2 dodges, pick up, gfi, 4+ pass and catch).
Only 6 opposing players (3 Vamps, 3 Thralls) left vs 9 of mine (I think). They failed an OFAB roll (reroll) and later in that turn a catch (or pass) roll. Good enough for me to get the ball and place the AG5 ball carrier in a cage. Gatts used the fireball, but all 4 Elves dodged the blast. Still, with another successful Gaze he could make a 2 d Blitz, which failed on a gfi. This was it, 3:2 in turn 7 of OT.

Sadly I have lost Myrymma. She had 2 doubles (Guard and MB). Now me team has only 1 Guard and 1 MB player left.
But the loss of the ST4 and AG4 Thralls does hurt as well.

I didn´t get to see a single bite in the whole game, which really surprised me. Every OFAB roll which failed could be successfully rerolled. So, the Vampires were doing a good job on this. But then, they failed on other rolls from time to time.

Thx for this tense game.
And gl for you team and your next attempt in a qualifier!

EDIT: Oh well, luck counters look a bit extreme. That is because we did a reload in turn 6 of OT.

#7 Thicker Than Blood – Dead (RIP)
#12 Blood and Wine – Dead (RIP)
And the story ends..

Arcons darkelfs proved to be a number to big for the valiantly fighting vampires. First half was ours though and we managed to both outnumber the elves and score the only td of the half. After some weird turnovers on both sides.

Second half proved to be a much grimmer affair..

I saw an opportunity to a 2db stripball block on his ballcarrier and went for it but ended up doubel 1 on a dodge. this gave arcon free room to stall the half out and adding casuality after casuality to his tally. In the end only 7 (or was it 8) vamps could take the field once overtime started.

I got to recieve in ot and scored fast, hoping to stall arcon enough to make it to a cointoss, unfortunatly again i saw the opportuinity for a ballcarrier blitzand went for it.. and even though my blitz was sucsesfull arcon simply picked the ball up again afterwards and sent it through the air to a waiting reciever for the 2-2 td.

Recieving again i decided to try to stall 4 turns (now with 6 vamps against 10 elfs) unfortunatly i messed up my first turna little and when i rolled 1 on ofab and later thje same turn 1 ona ball handling roll it was all but over. a last attempt at a ballcarrier blitz was thwarted by a failing fireball and a snakeyes on a gfi.

3-2 and gameover.

Congrats to Arcon,

all you vampire lovers out there.. dont despair we'll be back for another try soem other major soem other time.
