“A mismatch of course, but a game played for fun.

First half the Juggernauts were in song, knocking out three players quickly. However, instead of scoring the Juggernauts made a big show of fouling with the ref watching so that their Hobgoblin Dirty Player would not get smashed by the Eggheads Ogre!

Some further dallying an another foul just for laughs got another player sent off and the Eggheads were able to recover and stop the score.

In the second half the Eggheads started in offence, but the Juggernauts soon pressed hard in offence deciding to play properly in the second half.

It was a tense battle with the Juggernauts failing several attempts to pick up the ball in the rain until the dying seconds of the match to steal the victory.

It was a muck around game for the first half with me doing stupid fouls (he had his apoth still and 9 AV for his Orks) so I could get a few players sent off. Boy did I regret this at the end of the first half when I failed to score!!!

However, the KOs and Badly Hurts meant that Eggheads fielded a much weaker 11 on the pitch and the Juggernauts were soon able to get the advantage in each group of players where blocks were being exchanged.

The Eggheads might have been able to secure a draw or make the score by the Juggernauts even more difficult if their Ogre (Str 6!!!) had not spent almost the entire half blocking a Stand Firm Chaos Dwarf. The bigfella probably should have blitzed earlier and then put his big body over the wet ball but this was not attempted till the dying minutes of the match.

Still it was a very fun game as I know my opponent in real life and there was some fun banter too.

10 SPP is a very very low return for such a high Str team but I can only blame the rain and my own sillybugger play in the first half for not getting more.”
