“A fun, if unusual game. in the first half Darkland mounted a highly aggressive offence, placing a bull centaur within range of my touchline in the first turn and KO'ing a mummy straight up. Unfortunately this blissful beginning was not to last as a failed pass left the ball stranded in Union of flesh and steel's half, with several skeletons and the new Blitz-Ra charging for its location. Meanwhile the mummies had begun to slow the chaos dwarf advance, repeatedly blocking and knocking down Darkland's minotaur. The remainder of the first half was characterised by both teams trying and failing to gain control of the ball, their abysmal ball handling capabilities forcing the match into a slugfest.
The second half started badly for Union of steel, with the ball landing within inches of the line of scrimmage. A hard drive by the 4 mummies placed the Union in a good position to recover however. Skeletons formed a loose cage around the ball, and Throw-Ra "Nynetjer", managed to gain control of the ball. A sterling defence was mounted by Darkland, blitzing the ball carrier and removing him from the field in turn 2. A gruesome and bloody half followed, with both teams again attempting to gain control of the ball. The mummies held of the worst assault by the opposing Minotaur, who eventualy commited himself to the injury box. the skeletons bravely held back the bull-centaurs until the mummies could be positioned to aid, but despite heavy casualties, Darkland managed to keep the Union of flesh and steel from maintaining possession for more than a few moments at a time, ultimately , the final wistle blew on a 0-0 stalemate - Great Fun!!”
