“I knew it would be a tough game going into it. Last game against Lardidars Vamps turned into a 1-3 losing fiasco. i had though I could earn some money to buy a RR for this one (10k shy, needed 30 got 20) and get a few easy skills so I could take Tackle on my blitzers to handle those pesky Runners.
Well after a couple turns I had 3 men in the KO box and the whole match consisted of a fight for survival and try to steal possession of the ball. The game had it's moments where a couple of certain dice rolls failed for both teams at crucial moments causing weird happenings, like the Rat Ogre 3d-blitz getting three skulls/skull/pows XD. In all Azure played an excellent game and just outcoached me on this one and I think the OBBA Conference South pretty much got decided on this game...”

A very tense, back and forth game. The Rats had a chance to score in the first half...but decided to go for it after having used the RR to pick up the ball...and of course...the gutter runner falls and stuns himself. It was right back with the Dark Elves...but they just failed to score and the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Dark Elves received to start the second half, but failed a ball handling roll and the rats pounced on them...with Nate Jaqua stealing away the ball and racing upfield. The Dark Elves tried to take Nate down but failed and then tried to surround him, but a dodge and a handoff and Blinky Ironhide scores his first TD of the season. However, on the next possession, the Dark Elves tied it up at 1-1 and then it was back to the Rats...a middle running play was called and the rats raced forward and Blinky took the ball up the gut...with enough rats to protect, the dark elves never got a shot off on him, and a simple dodge and he scored again! At this point only 2 turns remained for the dark elves to score and so they had to take risks...but they worked and the blitzer had the ball in scoring position, but because they had to rush, he was exposed...this time he was taken down...the ball free, on the final turn, the rats take it endzone to endzone to score with Simon Granger to skill up that promising young line rat.
