#3 Swashbuckle – Dead (RIP)
Fumbbl Cup VI: Round IV

Handicaps for NN: Morley's revenge, Illegal Drugs, Buzzing! and Bribe the Ref.

Swashbuckle ignored his niggle and played.

Phew! Quite the game. We played for over two hours, 24 turns each. I'm exhausted :)

Handicaps for NN where very good; Morley's hit three players, two of which were very good (ST4 block/mblow/multiblock beastman and 6449 block tackle CW), which hurt a lot.

NN received first, and had quite an easy time to score 1-0; first half was definetely his, three cas with apofail and some KOs vs my one cas allowed the orcs to score comfortably in turn 8.

Second half. Due to Morley's and a KO'd beastman Words started with nine players vs 11. They quickly leveled the field though, to nine on nine, and scored in turn three. Depite the numerical advantage of the orcs (nine on 11 again) Words managed to keep them from scoring in return, and even had a couple of small chances of scoring 2-1, but 1-1 after second half. One reroll each.

OT: Orcs recive, 10 players vs nine for Words. Words get an extra reroll on the kickoff. Orcs lost their DP on a failed foul turn one, making the situation very even. Words managed to knock the ball loose with Strip Ball, but failed to bring the blitzer down. The situation looked good, and a beastman was sent to catch a possible pass. However, the next turn was very very good for the orcs, who caused two KOs and a cas, and managed to pick up the ball and run, scoring in turn six of OT, after a desperate attempt on the ball failed.

Words had three turns to equalise, but had only seven players vs 10 orcs. They gained a RR on the kick, but lost it on the blitz, rolling doubleskulls. Despite this, Words managed to score in two turns, equalising to 2-2 in turn seven of OT. NNs gobbo failed to return from the KO-box, and that was the game. The coin came up in favor of the Orcs, and Words are out of the FC!

A harsh, very close game. Very good handicaps for NN coupled with an awful first half kept Words struggling uphill most of the game, almost always starting drives at a numerical disadvantage. I made some mistakes, the biggest one (I think) was sending that beastman forward too early in OT; on the other hand, there was really no way to prepare for losing three players the following turn.

Despite this, I felt I played a good game, even managing to get a cointoss out of it, although admittedly that was a lucky score (3+dodge, 2d, 4+ pass, 3+ catch, 2+2+ GFIs with one reroll). It hurts to lose when doing your best, but atleast I can say that I was undefeated in FC VI :D

Good luck in your next round, Lill-Leif, and cya around.

Round 4 of the FC
Once again I got some good HC:s. AG on a SF blitzer for ball handling, morleys to get some nasty Chaos players out, bribe the ref for some fouling and buzzing for my ST5 BoB.

First half was a pretty safe voyage for me to a few CAS and a TD. (1-0)
Second half was not as good, neither the defense or offensive play worked out for me so the game went, fair imo, to OT. (1-1)
I started with the ball in OT, went pretty slow, but a good turn with 1 cas and 2 chaos KO led to a TD and I was in the lead with 2-1. Words was outnumbered and had 3 turns to score for a tie. And they did it! (2-2)
Tight, close game that could have gone either way.

What Words didn't know though is that these orcs are VERY good at coin-tossing! And that decided the game.
