#16 Valom Twinaxe – Dead (RIP)
Highlight of the game: Valom Twinaxe was killed twice. His dwarven brothers could not bear seeing him as an undead zombie and released him from his sufferings.

Dutch made a casuality hattrick!

The second half wasn't only affected by the run for the winning touchdown but for the run for the most casualities, too! As reroller managed to equalize the score I managed to equalize the bodycount. But I made more serious injuries!

From my point of view it was a good and exciting game. But although reroller said close to nothing I think he was a little annoyed by his bad luck in the first half.

reroller, that's an awesome match report. Thanks!

#7 Ulf Goldsmith – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#7 Ulf Goldsmith – Smashed Knee (NI)
#9 Valom Twinaxe – Dead (RIP)
It is official, Nuffle has it in for Sprinting Is For Elves, but he is not without his sense of irony.

Now I'm not a big fan of playing or facing dwarves, but I would like to learn how to use them properly so I thought I'd start up a team. To say I have struggled is an understatement, as perhaps the team's 2/2/2 record will say. I will press on with them, but I can see myself picking my other teams to play a game before this lot!

As for this game, quite an amusing one in the end. The dwarves and the undead ran out of players at stages, which made for an intriguing contest.

First half I kicked to the deadies, and looked to put some pressure on their ghouls. The undead, however, had different ideas and decided not to fail a single block all half until turn 7. Zombie Not meeeeeeee surpassed himself by killing Valom Twinaxe, which I decided not to use the apothecary on. After all, he's only a blocker right?

Well a bashings were going on and Their Second Chance had the ball rapped up in a cage on the left side of the pitch. My stalwart dwarves were unable to knock players over and double skulls were costing me dear. I will not mention the luck meter here, because it hates this team anyway.

Despite pushing a ghoul out of the pitch, and KOing another, the undead stroll in a turn 6 score, leaving me with three turns to equalise. Hmmm. This is where I struggle.

Anyway, I set about getting up the pitch and manage to KO one of Their Second Chance's mummies as well as badly hurting a ghoul. So far, so good. A blitzer moved into position for the TD, but then the plan went to pot. Dutch, who had a pretty good game for the undead, seriously injured another blocker who was apothecaried. The weather had changed to a blizzard and even with an AG4 runner I couldn't keep the ball in hand and the chance went begging.

Second half, none of the undead in the KO box decided to return. Hmm, that's better. The dwarves got the ball thanks to a touchback and decided to smash their way up the pitch. This proved successful, with Fandoz Ironsmelter bizzerley rekilling Valom Twinaxe. That was a good one, never liked him anyway. Insal Orcbane got cheeky and crippled a mummy, who regenerated and Mike The Roadblock sent a zombie the same way who also made the 4+. This is more like it eh? At the same time the Undead badly hurt Helgar Stoutblade and Insal Orcbane, both by big bad Dutch.

The dwarves kept good retention, however, and managed to equalise in turn 5 to give them a chance of the win.

Sadly, all three players including Orxyman and a ghoul returned from the KO bin and it was an understrength dwarf side which faced them.
The ball bounced close to the touchline and the undead blasted forwards in a bid to cut off Sprinting. Koncz had enough time to cripple Ulf Goldsmith, and the undead found themselves close to the left edge of the pitch but just 8 squares short with one turn to go.

Some cheeky manouvering by the dwarves saw them help the ball carrier into the crowd, however, and the ball bounced back onto the pitch with a change for Kazum Goblinkiller to seal an unlikely victory. He skipped up the pitch, picked up the ball and sighted through the blizzard towards Nalsson Beergut who was being marked by a skeleton. Perhaps overdoing it a bit, Kazum went that extra square and had to use up all his training to remain on his feet. The arm went back, the pass was spot on, and promptly bounced of Nalsson's helmet to the turf.

The game had ended in a relatively expensive draw, but a good test for Sprinting. Good game Alpman, and I hope to see you on the pitch again soon.

No problem Alpman, and yes I was annoyed about my first half luck but thems the breaks eh?!
