“Frustratingly close to turning out ok, but in the end it was another loss, another death, and no reserves for next match. Net result: Lots of fun had at the cost of 17spps lost and 10 TR less for next game than I had for this one.

The game started ominously, with the lizards again choosing to receive, and again getting a touchback given to one of the saurii. This time they managed to score however, giving them a healthy 1-0 lead.

They just barely managed to hold on to it for the rest of the half, and then were looking like they were in with a chance, although the players were already starting to run low.

In defence, they made some loose plays to try and make up for the lack of strength and numbers, but couldn't stop the TD. JoeKano decided to go for the win and chose to score rather than make the easy stall.

The lizards gave it a go, but the pressure got to them and everything they tried in the last few turns failed, and Skye's Tainted stole the ball and made the pass for a td on their last turn.

Sotek's monks had a quick look at trying for the chain-push 1 turner, but didn't have enough players left to set it up. After getting a quick-snap it might have been possible, but they'd already given up.

N'aanachakrar will be missed for next game, not a spectacular game from him but a much better start than Kisthamotaru's, at least until he was smacked down quite decisively late in the first half.

A well played game from JoeKano, hopefully next time the two teams meet the lizards will make a better effort.

Twanhlows:
3 Master Rorius - The two 5449 members of the team were just a menace on offence. They kept control of the ball and called the shots for most of the game. They made their passes, got a casualty each on the skinks that tried to mark them, and never got knocked over to lose the ball.
2 Master Usal - Hard to pick between Rorius and Usal, but I felt Rorius had more of a presence during the game, as shown by his 8 blocks to 5. There wasn't much dodging or pass blocking done this game.
1 KFC Chicken - His foul appearance worked at least 3 times this game, taking me by surprise each time.”
